BILL TO BAN ALL REPTILES, SMALL ANIMALS, BIRDS, AND FISH (HR669)
This is an article that I found when I went to a petstore trying to buy some bird seeds for my pets...and this caught my eye.

I don't have a pet, but for crying out... Parrots are among the most long-living and faithful pets who have saved people from depression due to their inner kindness and intelligence. And what about dogs who have sensed that their humans have cancer, and saved their lives because of that?
What is wrong with owning a parrot or a lizard?
Not to mention that domestic dogs cannot live without humans. Cats, maybe, but dogs have grown too dependent on us.
And aside from that, pets have been proven to be therapeutic... I think I read somewhere that owning a pet reduces your chances of a heart attack by a significant amount.
