The Smile on My Face

It's after Asr prayer.

I was still wearing my white head cover and wearing my pink prayer dress, I remained seated on the sujadah (prayer mat).

I hugged my legs close to my chest in a huddled position, feeling so small.

the beautiful afternoon sun shining through our glass windows in the bedroom.

i leaned my head on my right knee cap.

i closed my eyes.
