Undergoing a major step for my US visa

If you think that getting the NBI clearance was such a hurdle, undergoing the required medical exam was tougher. The ONLY place that is officially recognized by the US Embassy is St. Luke's Medical Center in Bocobo Street along U.N. Avenue, Manila. Well, not just US Embassy, they also cater to Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

...... -hides- I fought and screamed pathetically as an adult! But, to my credit, the needles we had when I was a kid were thick monsters and today's silly mosquito stinger-like needles are nothing in comparision. Still carried that same sense of dread for ages, though.

I had the MMR! It was easy too. Best thing to do, in my opinion, is to swing your arms around and move them so they don't wind up sore for days afterwards~ hurts for the moment, but it'll heal faster that way! ^^ You won't have that heavy feeling for long. If you don't, it'll probably feel that way for a few days, but then, that's that!

A-aah, epidurals burn, though? ;_; I don't want to think about thaaaat! How long did the burning last, though? But wait, they injected into your hip? I thought that was meant for the spine. o.o Or is there more than one kind?

Incredible, masha Allah!

A headache? Did you have it before or was it because of the epidural? I know epidurals tend to cause really bad headaches. ^^;;

Oh, I see! ^_^

Oh, wow, thirty minutes? You're dang stoic, you know that?

yay! To quote Duston and Venus Raj, major major nga! That was pretty smooth. Needles are no big deal, I'm still wussy about physical exams though, even if it's a female doctor T__T. This is really great, you're getting closer and closer to the goal. Yatta!!!

PS.
And you managed to buy a Doraemon stuff in between, a well spent day indeed! :)

I understand it's the complete vulnerability of being in front of a stranger. I mean in my case, I have already given birth and went for several OB/GYNE visits with my doctor but STILL it does feel weird to be poked and observed.

Just make sure that before you go for such an exam, be prepared. Take a nice good bath and shave. Besides, these things only takes a few minutes really.

Yep! the goal is getting closer indeed. I hope and pray things turn out well and smoother.

Doraemon was begging to be taken home. LOL
