petroleum jelly vs. clear mascara... hm. does the former wash off cleanly? as in, do you need some sort of special remover in order to get the jelly off at the end of the day? to me it seems like it would just be sticky and getting everywhere whereas clear mascara dries in place. still, a good observation!
EID MUBARAK to you too and your family! Wow..you're back on LJ. it's been awhile. welcome back. I love reading your posts and your writing style.
yes that's one of the best things about it is that petroleum jelly washes off easily and thus cleanly. i think it's a really safe thing too because PJ is also recommended by dermatologists for those who suffer from dry skin, skin problems and burns.
what's great about it too is that it doesn't look greasy~looking on the lips. it gives off just enough moisture~looking and blends very well with lipstick.
Odd, I haven't ever had a problem with my lip balm, but I never really use overly glossy stuff. Everything I use is just to keep my lips from drying and cracking, so it's probably nothing you'd want to hear about. ^^;
Labello's nice! I know some sort of give a color too, if you want that, but yeah, it's more of... medical rather than cosmetic. But dang, does it taste and smell good! ^^
i am a believer of lip balm too. my only prob with them was that i use them A LOT. hehe! PJ provides a much~longer lasting effect without any flavor and it's super affordable too.
waaah! I clicked on the Labello link here and as much as I feel like a cat distracted by the flying lips as I move the cursor along...it's taking WAAAAAAY TOOOO LOOOOOOOOONG to open. mawwrrrr...

Yeah, it's pretty high-quality and thus slow-loadin'. Some other time, then!
