Quitting smoking.

So I'm quitting smoking tomorrow, and I'm looking for as many tools against the craziness as I can muster. I already have a fairly consistent home practice, and intend on coming to the mat as often as I can for relief, but I was wondering if anyone had an specific suggestions for asanas or sequences, meditations, pranayamas - anything to help ( Read more... )

Savasana and any kind of meditation will probably help you the most.

I agree with this very much. Meditation will help you "sort through" some things. Perhaps downloading some guided meditations specifically for this?

Yogui Bhayan recommended "drinking air" to quit smoking. In Kundalini Yoga they have different meditations to break up addictions. Maybe you'd like to look into that.

while not ayurvedic, i can't recommend acupuncture enough. the NADA protocol will change your life, for serious.

practice MORE. practice as much as humanely possible at first. it worked for me. also, tea tree oil toothpicks.
