As someone in the recruitment industry, it is depressingly quiet out there. Just keep up the hunt, no matter how discouraging it is. Eventually you will get something.

Thing is, unless I have money coming in, I can't afford to just keep looking. I need money coming in...

And it's starting to look like I'll need to go to McDonalds again but it might be too late...

I know how you feel. The last interview I had was in September as far as I recall.
Being forced to live off the charity of others totally destroys your sense of worth just as much as the fortnightly humiliation at the job centre does.

All we can do though is try to plough on.

Indeed... Were I English, or even counted myself as British (I'm an obstinate Scot and proud of it), I'd put on my Stiff Upper Lip (tm) and keep on till something turned up...

As I don't so such things, I shall make tea and carry on regardless.

I know how you feel all too well. I have been unemployed for almost a year now. No replies to application forms either. I do wonder if there should be a unified application form so you only ever need to fill out one. I went to hell and back having no money and now i get nothing from the government at all. But the light at the end of the tunnel is that I have *fingers crossed* been offered a job today. Its taken a while but I got there.

Hang on in there.

If it comes to it and you end up needing to go back to MacDonalds that doesn't mean you have to stop job-hunting, remember. I know it's not fun, but eventually you'll get something.
Also, don't ever feel bad for borrowing money off me - I honestly don't mind, and I still have further extensions available on my overdraft, so nothing's too drastic yet.

I love you.

OK last resort try and see if they have anything in Royal Mail. Check on line on the website, since some offices have vaccanices.
