A warm and safe Christmas Eve to everyone! I'm off work until Monday, and not even on call, so I'm looking forward to a relaxing few days. Dragged myself to work yesterday thinking the morning tiredness was just a sign that I was undercaffeinated, but as I sat at my desk working on my performance review I realized I was getting tired just sitting up in the chair. I've been keeping myself busy. My vacation week was great, very relaxing; I didn't accomplish a lot but I rested up from work and it seemed to be what I needed. I did get a few things done (including finishing a pair of socks to send to a friend), but mostly just rested and let myself be open to the world around me ( Read more... )

We had a lovely Thanksgiving celebration yesterday, with oodles of food and drink and MST3K. ( Here are some pictures. )

Busy weekend. Yesterday was grocery shopping and cleaning the bathroom, plus I made pizza for dinner. Today was about scouring the kitchen. It's still not perfect, but I'm willing to let visitors see it now, and that works for me. Now I have to make an ice cream-pumpkin pie, and figure out what food prep I can do before Wednesday.
