So I don't really believe in horoscopes, but I read mine daily anyways just for fun. Usually they are completely off or so vague that they could fit anyones description, but my horoscope for today is pretty dead on that it is scary

My advice is this (and you've probably already considered this, but you know..): Before you do something as big as leaving your life here for the Peace Corps, try something on a smaller scale first. I'm not at all knocking such a big dream, but you know - everyone takes baby steps first.
Start volunteering at places like Habitat for Humanity, etc and get your feet wet in labor-intensive volunteer work, and then you'll know for sure whether or not you want to do something similar on a larger scale. There are lots of opportunities to help people locally, and that's also a great way to meet the right people who could help steer you down the right path towards dedicating your life to a worthy cause, should you choose to do so.
Oh yes, I am already planning on that. Infact, I am attending the Student Volunteer Connection meeting tonight. I also am planning to go check out the Habitat for Humanity center here on campus. I have done that kind of work before, and really enjoyed it. This girl in my Karate class told of this program called Ameri-Corps, which is like the Peace Corps, but in America. I may do that for a year, and see if I am really cut out for the Peace Corps. Thanks for the advice, because I am definitely taking it!
Oh good! I think the Ameri-Corps thing is a really good idea. Serious goals require serious thought, time, and effort, so I'm glad to see you're being so smart about it!
A Half-way house is a place where people who are down on their luck, and don't have a place to live can go till they get back on their feet. I have lots of ideas on how to improve these houses b/c I don't like the way some of them are run at present.
I don't think it fits my goals. Except that I want to finish college.
Haha. Ok. I already knew what a Halfway house was. I just remember sometime last year: Me, you, jordan and sean were coming back from astroworld and I saw that crappy looking building on 59 and I wondered what it was and you said it was a halfway house. I just kept saying that it was a whorehouse and you kept trying to explain that it wasnt. Ah memories :)
Hey I just wanted to tell you that I am officially going to go to Texas State!!! I'm really excited! I just wanted to let you know so you could prepare for me to come and party with you!! HAHA its gonna be awesome! And my dad will take us out to dinner lol. Ok... im me some time, b/c i don't have your sn... my sn is wnc101.... love ya girl!! -Whitney-
I'm sure you will be awesome in everything you do! Hey, if that was the day we had to LEAVE astroworld b/c they didn't have anything for us to do, I was there too!!!
But seriously, I could see you doing that. I think a lot of people will look up to you...not think, know! I KNOW they will look up to you b/c so many people already do!
