My dad just told Machu that during his time, there were no computers at all. Machu went wide-eyed with disbelief and started giggling.
"What? You do not have any computer? That's funny! Heeheehee."
"Yeah, we had typewriters."
"Typewriters!" Giggle giggle. "What's that?"

Tsk tsk. Kids nowadays.

ah the good ol' days when people actually had to think before they typed because there was no easy way to delete stuff unless you use white-out, wait for it to dry, then type over. how did we ever survive without the UNDO function???;P

Well, some typewriters have this Type Over key :) It isn't quite the same thing, of course, but at least people were a lot more careful about spelling.

Oh, and they actually knew how to type. Seeing all these kids pecking at the keyboard with two fingers is kind of annoying, since the pecking invariably results in such lovely expressions as, "O RLY??! LOL11!!1! I W1N @ TEH INTARNETZ U SUXXORS!11!"

The sad thing is that WE didn't have computers at Machu's age either! That makes us... kinda old! :p
