I watched this show in Discovery Channel called "How Techies Changed the World" about how Star Trek was responsible for major advances in science and technology. It was hosted by William Shatner (The end credits song was "Has Been").

It's interesting to see how this show inspired so many people to change the world. Like this dude who was fascinated ( Read more... )

Ha ha funny how this post comes up just as I post about irritating sci-fi geeks.

I used to watch Star Trek The Next Generation a lot when I was in elementary school but it never inspired me to do anything awesome. All I can remember now is creepy Borgs and how Wesley Crusher was cute but SO. GODDAMN. ANNOYING.

And it is good to see you getting your artistic groove on again!
