I've started commuting to work by bicycle. This, in my opinion, is fun, even though I'm not a terribly good cyclist, and it's good exercise, which I desperatly need. If only I could cycle to work! Of course that would require 2 things.

1) Me to own a bike
2) The journey not to be a 30 mile round trip!

I try to be kind to cyclists, ever since I taught cycling proficiency to kids here. A lot of the problems are that drivers don't look out for cyclists, but some are caused by cyclists not knowing what their responsibilities are - like them not using cycle paths if they exist. And I don't know about where you are, but a lot of cyclists here jump red lights, or don't wear helmets...

I try to be considerate and careful around to cyclists (having been one myself when I went to college), but I do get frustrated if I can't get past quickly, , especially as Milton Keynes was designed to keep bicycles off the main roads on redways. I get annoyed in the same way at people walking/running across the main (grid) roads here in MK, since we have bridges and underpasses to make sure that people had no reason to need to cross the grid roads (where traffic is generally traveling at 60-70 MPH). On a couple of the single carriageway roads they've reduced the speed limit to 40 MPH due to people unfortunately being killed walking across these fast roads...
