300 looks like a very silly movie, indeed. I don't care if it's a Frank Miller comic adaptation, there will be general hilarity, and also beefcake. Lots and lots of beefcake. Actually, I'm surprised that nobody's done a movie set in Sparta before. They're pretty nifty folks.

*G* I saw the preview while watching Pan's Labrynth (you'd probably like it - the faun is fan-freaking-TASTIC even if the movie itself is a little... um, dark. And gory - it takes place during the Spanish civil war after world war 2 (I think) ended. I shut my eyes during parts.) and it made me laugh! And drool. HOLY GOD BEEFCAKE. Aparently the Spartans proved that they were manly by waxing their manly, manly pectorals. I have a few movie passes left from Christmas which I might just save for 300.

And shoes... god do I want new shoes.
