I won't call that patriotism. It -is- a pretty well known fact among locals (and expats who've lived here long enough) that hawker food totally pwnz the restaurants. (Unless your regular restaurant is, like, Equinox.) The only restaurants I frequent are the all-you-can-eats.
"patriotism" because very often, i see more negative than positive comments about Singapore in that community.
i think the food at Equinox, while high-classed, isn't that fabulous. they merely have a few exquisite items that take the attention away from their other average-tasting offerings.
i'm sure it's strange for me to be replying at your personal journal but i believe the support request i opened is now closed.
i figured out a way to get my interests back to being unlinked. i added asterisks to all of the ones i knew to be unique, saved, and when i went back to remove them and saved again they registered as only mine.
