Anime Review: Ouran High School Host Club

This was origionally posted and written for my University Anime group, but I'm re-posing this here becuase... well... I can.
BTW, though under an LJ cut, this review contains as few spoilers as I could feasably put in it. I don't think much is stated or spoilt here. If you think so, please say otherwise.

Yay! I finally finished watching Ouran (yesterday, actually), and this post saves me from backtracking to the previous one to add belatedly XD

You're right, things did develop quite a bit character-wise - I particularly liked the back-stories on the various members that came out (though I wish they hadn't felt the need to keep repeating scenes quite so much - yes, we do actually remember what happened two eps ago, thanks!) and the two-parter holiday one at the pension. I could still live without time-wasters like Haruhi in Wonderland, though

OK, adressing this point by point

I'm sorry but as a recap ep that is one of the best ever.Well, it is, but I remain unsure why anime ever decided it needed such a thing! Many series get along perfectly well without one, so why do others bore us to tears with what we already know

I do agree about the recap thing. I wish they didn't do those too... but heck if you're gonna have them they might as well be half way decent.
FB was very cool, and I enjoyed it a lot as an anime. I'm not sure whether I prefer it to Ouran or not. I think they're about equal, though I prefer Ouran's animation style. I love the prettyness of it. Which is very shallow but, alas, true.
BTW, sent those Icons off to you. I hope you get them.
