First of all, let's make no mistake about it... the main reason I'm posting now is because I feel like it(1), not because I've got anything massivly new to say. At the end of this post I'll put down some interesting links but as far as new info goes that's probably all I can offer

The problem with this entire mess is that it has been started by a group of people who think far more with their hearts than with their heads.

I'd say they're people who don't think at all, only (over)-react. Any group calling themselves Warriors for Innocence reveals a whole set of issues right there, for instance, belief in the myth that children actually are innocent and need to be pickled and preserved that way. Anyone gathering behind a flag that so obviously carries connotations of extremism is not going to be listening to reason.

Point. You definately got the nail on the head there. It's worrying and sad that LJ actually listened to these people... or rather listend and reacted so extremely themselves. But they seemed to have learned their lesson and we all make mistakes, I guess.
