I really wish I had local friends who actually want to go outside and do something. I live in hiking mecca and yet I've no one to go hiking with

dunno if you still talk to Kershaw at all but he's out there all the time :)
Sometimes I'll just go alone if I can't find anyone willing - which is rare - but I say fuck em - make sure you have plenty of water, rain gear, and a small first aid kit with matches and yer fine - then again the hiking around there isn't nearly as intense as colorado

Also I'm a pussy and relatively new at hiking, so I wouldn't be tackling anything tough by myself anyway. I'm concerned about neither rain nor fire, but I'd worry about turning my ankle for the umpteenth time, so an ace bandage or two and a first aid kit would be good.

well, i wish i had some hiking friends up here. I need to get my ass out there more often. i mean, i moved to maine for a freaking reason!
