A Bat Man With a Box anonymous February 27 2012, 08:41:16 UTC
Batman saves worlds, rescues civilizations, defeats terrible creatures and runs a lot. He travels around time and space and picks up sidekicks occasionally to keep him company. After he drops them back on Earth their old lives seem a little boring, but then they meet by accident/design and start defending the Earth themselves.

BASICALLY, DOCTOR!BAT AU A GO GO.

Bonuses:

-The Justice League are his traveling companions from before Gallifrey asplodey.

-Alfred in any way, shape, or form. (He's the TARDIS?)

-"MY PARENTS ARE DEEEEAAAAAD AND I KILLED THEEEEEM!"

Oh man. Doctor!Bat. I think my brain just cracked. Then you mentioned the Batsiblings teaming up and defending the Earth.

But the last straw was Alfred as TARDIS, really.

Second. Second. Seconded so hard my brain broke.

Actually I was thinking he picks up the team, but Batsibs works too!

If it was the Batsibs, then Dick would be Rose while Jason would Martha
Am I right or am I right?

I ALMOST put Dick=Rose as a bonus. ALMOST, I had it typed out and everything. Then I decided to leave it up to potential fillers.

(My other bonuses-that-didn't-make-it were Wally and Dick=Amy and Rory, and Superman and Wonder Woman=Brigadier and Sarah Jane.)

One could argue that the Justice League in its current incarnation would not be at all possible without the interference of one singular alien: the Detective - or, as he was better known on Earth, the Batman. That is, to say, that without his habit of picking up strays and leaving them behind accidentally, Superman would have never formed the little club that eventually mutated into the Justice League. Now, only a handful of the current League members had actually travelled with the mysterious and oft infuriating Batman and, of the few, Superman and Wonder Woman were two of the longest runners in that capacity. In fact, they’d met on his TARDIS. They by no means knew that they were not the first to travel with the Bat (a retired SAS agent in Gotham had beat them by a number of years) and they knew that they were not the last, as evidenced by a goodly number of their friends ( ... )

OP IS OVERJOYED THAT SOMEONE FILLED ONE OF HER PROMPTS katty008 March 1 2012, 06:54:26 UTC
NO REALLY, I PAUSED EVERY OTHER SENTENCE BECAUSE I WAS TOO BUSY HYPERVENTILATING AND GRINNING LIKE AN IDIOT TO CONCENTRATE.

What all the Justice Leagers are doing is brilliant. All the everything. I am giddy as a schoolteacher in a blue box in a junkyard. And Lois dragging Clark off to investigate, and him accepting Superboy, and it's just like old times, I adore you, anon. Everything about this is perfect except the word microfill.

In short, you are the BEST ANON. ALL OF MY COOKIES AND CAKES FOR YOU. Special delivery: UNENDING ADORATION.

I thus assume the contradictory mental state of allowing writernon all the time in the world, YET WAITING EAGERLY.

Depends on who decides to show up to writer-anon's brain first and how they choose to appear.

I mean, Superman turned into Sarah Jane Smith.

At this rate, Donna Noble could be anyone, even a villain.

Superman! Sarah Jane Smith! Superman! Sarah Jane Smith!

Oh, this is fantastic. This is brilliant.

Wait. Wait. Who's Martha. Jason's Martha, that's who's Martha. And Dick is Rose. Yes. OldWho is the Justice League, NuWho is the Batfamily? NuWho is Young Justice. Does he run around in a giant Bat costume? Because he should.

Wonder Woman's Leela. This is so amazing.

Oh yes! Always brilliant, Sarah Jane.

;) Close. Superboy is Luke Smith, after all. Though I'm still debating on who would make a better Master, Ra's or the Joker. Ra's just has that classic Delgado Master vibe.

Writer-anon admits they are a massive Whovian first and foremost, and is, as such, attracted to these prompts.

Dick knows he shouldn’t be here. He knows Batman is going to scold him for wandering off and disobeying orders for weeks after this stunt, but he couldn’t help it, not this time. He had to go. He needed this, needed to see them, even if it was dangerous and stupid.

His parents were alive. His cousin, aunt and uncle were all fine. Oh, he’d never been born on this world, apparently, but it didn’t matter because they were all alive and well.

Or, rather, they were for the moment, if he and Batman could successfully get them away from the cyborgs that The Brain was planning to turn everyone into, find their friends, save the day and restart the TARDIS.

Telling his parents that he was their son from a parallel dimension certainly hadn’t helped.

And now, here they were, surrounded, about to be deleted to the max.

Oh, he’s so not feeling the aster.
