The team is in NYC. Their mission: investigate David Xanatos. A villain on par with Luthor, if not surpassing him, the JL is suspicious when he seems to be out of the game, so they send the team to figure out what his deal is. The team encounters the Manhattan clan and Elisa. Whether or not Xanatos is actually up to something is up to the writer, but I think it'd be pretty cool if this took place after the whole Oberon debacle, so Xanatos is actually (sort of) out of the villain business, and also pretty annoyed about having a bunch of teenagers try and break into his building, 'cause really? He's freakin' XANATOS.
Bonus: Xanatos and Bruce Wayne meeting at a charity function/business meeting and getting their snark on.

“Bruce, it’s been too long. Three months, isn’t it?”
“David, fatherhood must be running you ragged. I haven’t had the unique pleasure of your company for almost a year.”
“Really? Because I could have sworn I remember seeing you in Taipei in January.”
“Afraid I was in the Alps that whole month. Teaching my ward to ski, you see.”
“My mistake.”
“Don’t concern yourself, David. As I understand it, you were very busy at the time - tracking down those Xanatos Enterprises defense robots that somehow found their way into the hands of terrorists. It was so lucky, don’t you think, that they turned up again only a week later?”
“Not so fortunate in that they were completely destroyed and my Wayne Enterprises subsidiary buyer had entirely lost interest. Still, I did net a bundle in insurance payouts.”
“You always do seem to land on your feet. If you’d excuse me, David, I think I just saw Oliver Queen. Give my regards to Fox, Alex, and, of course, Owen.”
