Bette tosses her wavy blonde hair and passes her friend a little, yellow scrunchie.

"Thanks, Bette." Artemis smiles as she takes the offered hair-tie. She pulls her hair into a tight tail and expertly wraps the scrunchie around it. "Why'd you give me a yellow one?" she asks.

Bette quirks an eyebrow. "Isn't it obvious?"

"Yes, so obvious that I had to ask for an explanation..."

"Oh, shut it."

"You know you love me," Artemis teases.

Bette grins. "That's the whole point!" She grabs her friend by tossing an arm around her neck and pulling her in for a huddle. "I think I know someone who love loves you...or at least has a crush. Whatever."

"Could ya let go of me? This really hurting my back," Artemis growls.

The other girl lets go. "Sorry, Arty. I was just...excited, you know?"

Artemis bends her back in a swivel until it makes a loud crack. "Right, me, excited about boys of all things because I'm not more interested in friends and school work and sports and everything else in my life right now ( ... )

It's fine with me. I don't particularly have a preference for slash. But Bette being a shipper on deck was so cute!

Shipper on deck? I just pictured Bette as a pirate. Dick was her parrot and Arty was her first mate. Arty had a really awesome eyepatch. green leather.

lol. yeah, I know what it is, I just get weird thoughts in my head. Seriously, writing as a troper is impossible because I just want to put tropes names as dialogue and have to correct myself and explain it. bleh.

Yes it does but knowing of them and the playing with tropes page also helps improve your writing or critique of a piece.
