Feeling significantly calmer, M'gann sets up her psychic link, but only with Aqualad and Robin included.

“How is this?”

“Hearing you loud and clear,” Robin thinks.

“Good work, Megan,” Aqualad projects. “Will the others be able to join in after the tasks you ordered are completed?”

“I think I can handle it. I'm sorry this is so hard. I should be better than this.”

“I said you're doing well, Megan. Do not doubt me,” Aqualad orders. “We are all learning as fast as we can. You have nothing to blame yourself for.”

M'gann sends the two boys her feeling of thanks.

The Martian, a minute later, links up the rest of the team after they return to the building ready for action. Each teen, communicating their actions over the mind-link, goes off to work in a different wing of the hotel.

“Bossman, is it just me or is this fire suspicious?” Kid Flash asks.

“I agree it has the markings of an arson, KF,” Aqualad replies.

“It's more than that. It's a coverup,” Robin claims.

“Explain.” Aqualad and the rest of the team feel

Romanians speak Romanian, a Romance language (descended from Latin, just like French and Spanish), "Gypsies" speak Romani or Romany, an Indo-Aryan language related to Hindi and other Sub-continental languages (because that's where they originally came from).

Let me clear something up. This is according to wikipedia before I wrote the story so YMMV..

Dick is ethnically part Romani so I figured he'd speak Romani.
There is a fair percentage of Romani people in Romania.
Romani people would speak Romanian as well as Romani, I'd say.
The ambassador I made up is Romani and considers it his first language so that's why the ambassador thinks in Romani in his head.

Dick knew the ambassador spoke Romani first instead of Romanian because he was google'ing info about him on his holo-computer thing. That's why he offered to translate.

AND basically all of this is just an excuse for Dick to break down because he can't handle someone who is fighting death speaking in the language he hasn't spoken since he was a kid and his parents were alive.

Eh, Romani=language, Roma=ethnicity, Romania=country,
Romanian=nationality AND a language.

You are actually correct the first time. Roma is a subsect of people of the Romani. Like Cherokee are native American, the Roma are not the only Romani, there are also Sinti, Kala, Gitano, and several others ^^
