...How about evil genderbent counterparts? Just them being evil and genderbent, all the other characters normal gender and alliances.
Something along the lines of (though any writeranon/artanon can feel free to make up their own ideas):
Robin: A girl named Giggles, raised by Joker.
Kid Flash: Zoom thought it would be funny to brainwash Flash's neice and put her through the experiment that gave Flash his powers.
Miss Martian: An evil White Martian male.
Red Arrow: Rei Harper turned to the dark side after leaving Green Arrow.
Superboy: Female clone loyal to Cadmus.
Artemis: A boy named Orion who's quite obediant to his father's wishes.
Aqualad: The young Atlantean girl defected when she found out who her father was.

I actually own the hat that girlRobin's is based off of, so I kind of ended up wearing it myself while doing this. I figured that Orion wouldn't be that much changed, and that evilgirlKaldur and Supergirl would still be physical powerhouses even though they lack the testosterone-enhanced muscles.

When I read the title I know this was going to be good, but Anon . . . Anon, this is sooooo amazing. I can't even pick a favorite character, because ever back story is rich and every character's motivation rings so true.
The evil and gender-bend together. UNF. This is the most seductive thing I've encountered in weeks.

This is just...so good, the backstories are so...right, and shows just enough that you start to understand the characters already. I just keep rereading these origins, they're wonderful. <3
