No problem. While I am one of the glazed eye people and no almost nothing about the form, I find life to be immensely improved with poetry. People are often quite surprised at some of the things on my book shelf.
...besides, if I'm going to have bragging rights of TWO published authors I can claim as friends, I should at least have read the published works ;-)
Ah, why try to make him feel guilty about it. The important thing to remember is that he loves me. When I do write about him, he's oblivious. Which makes it easier for me, in some regards.
The politics of writing about family would make for an interesting book. One I am sure I shall not write.

My Dad doesn't want a copy of the book. He doesn't like poetry at all. Loves me, though. And I am good with that.
