I'm so happy you liked this fic, and that you see where I'm coming from with the ship. I always thought the fact that Suzaku and Lelouch love each other (even in canon, even if reluctantly, even if not canonically in the homo way, but they so fucking DO) was this couple's greatest strength. The platonic love is already there, the trust is already there, it's so easy to build upon that.
