[The Necrofear cuts off mid-question when it sees him, successfully distracted. It taps a tentacle against Mama's ankle and points to him.]

[Drumstick laughs with delight.]

[He repeats his fire show from before so Necrofear can see it too.]

"Little guy really likes this trick!"

[The toddler claps again, delighted; Necrofear backs away abruptly, boots clattering against the floor, and sails a note to him from what she deems a safe distance.]

Mind what you're doing with that. I'm ever so unfortunately flammable.

[Hey, that's one of Necroface's favorite toys flying by, there. As its mother waves back, relieved by the distraction, it hops eagerly up and down on its tentacles, hoping the bat will swoop close enough for snatching.]
