I'm new - tell me if I'm doing anything wrong!

[Mokuba is confused, lost and increasingly frustrated. He is also unsure of how exactly he has ended up here (wherever 'here' is), but is fairly sure that it isn't the Kaiba mansion. Which can mean only one thing.]

I don't know who you are, but I won't tell you ANYTHING! I've been kidnapped before LOADS, and I've never spilled any company secrets!

Sorry for the lateness but I had a busy week. But omg YAY another Moku! :3 commissioner_mk September 12 2011, 21:48:35 UTC
As much as I hate to tell you this, you haven't been kidnapped. For once.

I wish I could say that but it doesn't work that way. If someone holds a grudge against either Seto or either of us from any world, they will take it out on the first double of us they find. [Mica learned that lesson immediately upon his first arrival and only hopes he can prevent it from happening to others by warning them like this.]

I can't explain the changes, sometimes they're so small they're hardly noticable, other times it's impossible to ignore. Worst of it though is it doesn't just change the surroundings, it changes people too. All I can really say is you'll get used to it as time goes by. You may not like it but it will become routine.

If anyone tries to take out their grudges on me, the puzzle will protect me. [It has before - though consistency is not exactly the other Mokuba's greatest strength.] I'll make them regret messing with a Kaiba!

[He goes from righteously angry to utterly confused.] How can it change people? What exactly does it do?

Kid, having the puzzle only makes you a even more enticing target for most here. Anyone with an item is a target.

I told you, I can't explain it. You'll have to see for yourself.

Tch. Nothing can be that difficult to just tell me about...

There's- more people with items? Like, just versions of the Millenium Puzzle, or what?

Not difficult, just...weird. To put it into words would only confuse you, it's going to have to be something you experience.

There are more items than just the Puzzle, but there are other versions of that item as well. You would do well to hide the fact that you have one or at the very least resist boasting about it. Even without it's abilities, it's still made of gold. Anyone with a taste for riches would try to take it. Hasn't your Seto taught you anything?

[He scowls. At both lines of conversation.] Then I guess I'll wait to be surprised.

I have its abilities to protect me - no one's ever stolen it for long.

[It's that last bit that really annoys him, though. He can't think of a retort, but it just- grates, that someone is saying he should be paying mre attention to his brother. Even if it's another version of him.]

What kind of other items?

You don't need to know. All you do need to know is that it isn't safe to flaunt your possession around. I don't have an item and I'm still a target and have been attacked here before. The fact that you are me and in addition have something that dangerous with you just makes it even worse. Even if we weren't the same person, I'd still tell you this for your own safety.

[...And now he is absolutely determined not to do what the older him tells him to. Because he's being condescending, and Mokuba can handle himself, darn it.]

Fine. Is there anything I'm actually allowed to do around here, or am I just supposed to sit tight and wait for my inevitable doom?

[Why is it Mica can't remember himself being like that at that age? Oh yeah, that's right. He wasn't. (Soft cuddly anime Mokuba and all that)]

You've got quite the attitude on you.

Well, unless we can find a Seto willing to take over guardianship of you here, I guess I've got no choice but to do it. First, we'll get you a room. After that you're free to do whatever just as long as you remain cautious. If I let you get in to trouble I'd be the biggest idiot I know.

[He's going to take that as a compliment, and smirks.]

Well, let's get the room over with so I can explore. Got any game shops around here?

[If he's about to get told he has to stop playing in order to avoid shadow games, there's no way he's following any of this advice.]

I dunno, the first time I came here I was able to get a few things game-wise but this place will also make anything you think up. It's why everything is free I would assume.

[He's walking towards the elevator, you might want to follow.]

[He follows after a beat.]

Anything? You can make absolutely anything? [Well, then. Maybe not the worst place in the world?]

Just about. I'm sure there's limitations but so far I don't think anyone has found what they are just yet.

Cool! [This merits actual enthusiasm. Okay, so maybe Mokuba can be a bit nicer to other him (or rather, other other him, given the existence of the spirit in the puzzle).]

Hey, can I choose my own room, or do I just get given one?

For the most part you get to choose but I'm taking you to somewhere where I know there's some open ones. If you think of it, your room will look exactly how you want it as well.
