VICTIMIZE ME

Oct 07, 2010 14:09

[Tempest didn't think this place could get much worse. HOW NAIVE.

The hallway to his beloved hidey-hole/room has been blocked off by some manner of evil-fueled chaos and he's resorted to ducking into one of the shop to try and find a place to hide. Nothing seems safe, though, so he's moving frequently ( Read more... )

[Bloom is interested in this army of creepy spirits god help Tempest if Bloom figures out he's technically female, though.

He looks them over, not showing even a hint of being scared of them, but despite his batshit kicking in he looks concerned about them.]

[H-he's still pretty obviously lacking in the masculinity department :( He is somehow a trap and a reverse trap at once.

He might not be afraid of them, but they seem to be leery of him. The spirits start chittering and making their other assorted noises of distress when they see Bloom and his own army of spirits - they can tell this guy's dangerous, and that his spirits aren't like them. Still, they try to gather around Tempest protectively.

Tempest turns around at their noises and practically flinches when he sees Bloom. GIANT SCARY GUY IN A SKIRT OH GOD.

...giant scary guy in a skirt who can apparently see his freaks, and has a posse of his own.

crap]

S-stay back.

I won't hurt you.

[Something inside him remembers cowering in a corner surrounded by spirits. The spirits aren't being aggressive or anything, more passively following behind him.]

[He swallows, backing himself up against the wall. He finds it hard to trust anyone, much less a halfnaked man accompanied by ghosts. Like his spirits, he can sense that those... aren't necessarily Duel spirits. What else could they be, though?

A Worm Drake coils over his shoulders out of nowhere, rattling at Bloom.]

...gah! Stop it!

[He tries to push the creature's snout.. pincher.... eyeball thing down.]

...w-what do you want?

[While not keen on approaching any unfamiliar faces when they aren't deserving of a 'game', the sight of duel spirits scurrying around this fellow draws a great increase of dramatic smoke and shadows to set the scene in the shop and Atem to step out from behind an aisle.

He doesn't say anything, even when the creatures pass close to him. Just frowns at Tempest with a glowing eye on his brow. But his expression, if it is saying something, screams 'what are you doing'?]

...?!

[He jumps slightly when he notices someone glaring at him - even moreso when he realizes who it is.

He gapes for a moment, sputtering and drawing back sheepishly.]

....Y-y-yugi-san?

[His spirits seem just as surprised, and a few vanish or retreat into dark corners.]

[Yahtzee pays no mind to the scurrying spirits, even though they are what drew him here. No, he's too busy narrowing his eyes at how the stranger knows his name. Is it because he knows a double, or something else?]

Why do these creatures follow you? [His voice rumbles with warnings against any lying, as in his experience, dark spirits follow the will of dark souls. I.e. Bakurae and Marlicks!]

[He struggles for something to say. He's unused enough to anyone talking to him, much less, you know, THE MOST FAMOUS DUELIST EVER.]

I-I.. y-you can see them?

They're... they're duel spirits. They followed me because.... because no one else wanted them.

[Amber has been... well, he doesn't know, really. He's been somewhere. And has apparently picked not a great time to emerge from that somewhere, because if he's still not totally sure what to make of other duel spirits. T-though he probably has a couple of Tempest's monsters in his own deck. Dark Mimic has no such qualms, though, and is going to be bouncing towards Manjyoume's spirits and shrieking at them.

I-it probably sounds a bit threatening, though it's only trying to say hello. Less threatening is the tinybuki trying unsuccessfully to call it back without getting too close to the other spirits. He hasn't noticed Tempest yet.]

D-dark Mimic, come back here!

I don't know if they'll want you making all that noise at them...

[Tempest jumps slightly at the shriek and the monster-chest bouncing up to his vicinity, but his surprise is soon replaced with a scowl of exasperation.

Being the courageous souls they are, some of his spirits scatter and hide at the sudden intruder, but a few just scooch behind Tempest and one or two might shriek back or make some awful chittering greeting noise back at it.]

Ugh! Be quiet! Where did you come from? I-- ...

[He glances up and notices a boy that looks strangely familiar, though he can't immediately place him.]

[hbasdkfvbdf angry person who can see Dark Mimic and doesn't like the shrieking.

;o;

Amber runs over and grabs Dark Mimic, hugging it to his chest. Then s-sort of just wibbles at Tempest.]

S-sorry! He doesn't listen to me very much...

[He blinks a few times, immediately quieting down. It's a lot easier for him to yell at ethereal monsters than actual humans, but kids aren't as bad as people his age.

Besides, he doesn't come across many other people that can see spirits. As far as he knows, it's just him and Juudai.]

...tch. They never listen to me either.

[He waves back at his entourage, who manage to look as sheepish as their mutant features allow.]
