[Riding in a taxi through the streets of Cairo, the only thing on Seiran's mind was finding her mother's new apartment and getting out of the heat. But then she made it to the right street, paid the driver, and walked inside.

She thought at first she might just have the wrong building. She moved to reach into her jeans, only to notice a name tag stuck to the front of her white tank, reading "Hello! My name is Memory!" How did that get there? Taking it off, she stuffed it in one pocket as she pulled a piece of paper out of the other, an address scribbled on it. Yep, it was what she remembered, but maybe she should check, just in case. Turning around, she moved to go back outside and check the street name on the corner, but the Egyptian street she'd just come from was gone.
