Sometimes I am that person, so the person would know they will be missed. Maybe the way to do it is not to sound needy and selfish, but I think people should know they would be missed.

It's funny that:

1. You wrote that, given that while commenting on The Cubbling's entry, I was considering adding a little "missing you" bit, but then decided against because of the exact same egocentric seeming notion you describe.
