We had a nice getaway in Lisbon in the first week of January, considering that the rainclouds followed us there, and that Bao was determined to be on her most challenging behaviour. The food, the interesting walks, the views, and the friendly people more than made up for it ( Read more... )

Your pictures on Instagram had already really made me want to go there some day, this report even more so. I've been to Lisbon, but I was not even four at the time, so... Glad to hear it's a good place to visit with kids!

I'm not so sure how baby-friendly the city is (it is very hilly!), but with the toddler/child crowd, yes it's a good city for kids.

Oh, he's not even that tiny anymore, officially not a baby :)-slash-:( And if we were to go any time soon, I was thinking maybe during my fall break, so at the end of October, beginning of November (it's too hot for my taste in summer in Southern Europe). By that time he would be 21 months old.

Oh yes, you're right, he's totally not a baby anymore! I guess what I meant was that I have no clue about diaper change areas and stuff like that because we are now past that point (hooray hooray!). November sounds like a good month to go - off-peak travel is always so much better.

I really should come up to your neck of the woods at some point. I still want to see the Black Forest.
