waking and fading

In the last couple of weeks I've been avoiding all sorts of things that remind me of New York. I have a NY Times tab at the top of my browser (it used to be my daily morning read), but I hardly click it anymore; I have stopped looking at pictures from The Sartorialist; I don't even feel like talking about it to people whom I haven't seen in months ( Read more... )

i don't know how it feels exactly but i visited nyc for a week and i came back feelin really miserable/bored/moody. It's gotten better, (it's been two months) so i only hope you'll find a way to shake it off.

i can't imagine living somewhere else (somewhere great infact) and having to move back home. i completely felt you when you typed that one entry about shopping malls being really crowded + kids and all that shebang. i hate it here, so much, so i stay home alot.

Thanks for your comment. I don't think anyone needs to stay a year, a month, a week to appreciate the energy and spirit of the city. I miss it so much. I hope I get to move abroad again someday.

u described exactly how i feel everytime i come back from NY.
then just as i thought i was getting better, i'm drawn back to the city again.
that's how i end up going almost every single year :)
and i dont' plan to wean myself off it anytime soon :))
