there and back again

Lima - New York - Singapore

And so, in a flurry of bulging suitcases and backpacks, dirty laundry, and crazy-curly hair (hello humidity! how I did not miss thee!), I am finally back home in Singapore. Welcome back! I've really enjoyed your posts and travel pictures. It takes me beyond boring Singapore to places I've never been, even though I'm sitting right at home.
The humidity sucks. I perspire even when I'm innocently sitting around, not doing anything.

I'll be back in school when the new semester begins and resuming research work. Not sure what comes after in the long(er) term; I guess I'll be keeping my options open.

I'm happy for you that you're happy to be back! I enjoyed NY so much, I am doing all I can right now to earn as much money as possible to start a life there. Indeed, to each his own! :)

I think a little part of me is in denial about the fact that I won't be returning to NY anytime soon. I've just been traveling so much in the last couple of months that maybe my brain thinks Singapore is just a stopover point. In about another week I think I'll have the Big Apple Blues. :-(
