It’s Yuya’s Birthday!
It was just another day for him, there was nothing new. He wakes up, eat breakfast and prepare for his day at work. Indeed it was his birthday yet he didn’t care he was more focused on the things he needs to do at his work on that certain day.
“Yosh! I need to practice hard for the upcoming concert!” He motivated himself while walking to the bus station. He was listening to his ipod when someone suddenly bumped into him. “Hey~ watch where you goin~!” he complained to the guy who bumped to him.
“Ah! Gomen I didn’t mean it!” the small guy apologized.
“Chii?” Yuya stared at the younger.
“Ahhh!!!! Yuyan~!!” Chinen tugged the older. “Happy Birthday!!”
“Offf~ Chii, thanks..” He gave the little one a smile.
“Why you’re here early?” Chinen asked.
“It’s because I wanted a change?” Yuya answered back with a question
“Sou ka?” Chinen tiptoed and looked forward “Ah! There’s the bus!” He pointed at the vehicle nearing them.
They both rode the bus and headed to the Jimusho together.Upon entering the Jimusho, Yuya was bombered with many greetings for his birthday. It was very unusual since the last time he had his birthday only few greeted him but today it was different it was like he was a big celebrity walking in the middle of the crowd who long for his attention.
"Am I that good looking that everyone is so excited to see me?" He complemented himslef proudly yet he received a whack from the guy behind him.
"Don't be so full of yourself, Bakaki" the guy said and ran away from the older.
"Oi chibi-penguin! don't call me Bakaki!" He ran after the younger leaving Chinen behind.
"tsk tsk, he didn't even call me.." Chinen shooked his head and followed the other two.
A hard slam was heard in the JUMP's dressing room and the suspect is non other than the pocky-penguin prince of the JUMP. He was running towards the group's eldest member and hid behind him. He was then followed by the now-soak-from-sweat Takaki Yuya or rather the birthday boy.
"O-Oi what's wrong?" Yabu asked the younger behind him.
"That bakaki is bullying me again!" Daiki lied.
"Yuya..." Yabu looked at Yuya disappointingly.
"Hey! Don't lie you were the one who teased me first!" Yuya defended himself. Then Yabu looked at Daiki.
"I-I'm not lying!" Daiki exclaimed.
"Ah! he stuttered..." Kei interrupted as he put down his pen and grabbed a bottle of water from the table.
"Shut up Kei!" Daiki shouted at the older. “Mind your own business!”
“So you’re the one who started this?” Yabu asked Daiki.
“Uhhh, sort of…” Daiki gave Yabu his cute smile but the latter patted his head and leave him behind. “waahhh you’re no fun Yabu!!”
“Whatever Dai-chan!” Yabu waved his hands as he leave the others behind as he needs to clear something to their manager.
The catch-me-if-you-can game between Daiki and Takaki continued even until the end of their rehearsal. There were times that Daiki would hide at Yuto’s back, and Yuya will rummage all their things just to look for something that would make Daiki surrender the game they had started. They were like this without noticing the other members giggling and laughing with their cute acts.
“Mou~ I’m tired…” Yuya plopped down at the sofa in their dressing room.
“That’s because you’ve been chasing Daiki all over baka!” A whack from Hikaru landed on his head as the younger passed him.
“You don’t have to hit me!” Yuya exclaimed caressing his hurt head. “Uh~” He looked around not spotting the mischievous penguin he was chasing all day long. “ Where’s Daiki?”
“Dunno…” Yamada answered first before he go to his squirrel.
“Yuto?” Yuya asked the tall guy in front of him.
“I don’t know.. I just saw him earlier and now he’s gone…” Yuto said. “Keitoooo~! Here’s your water!” He tossed the bottled water to the older.
“Thanks…” Keito catched the bottle. “Uh, about Dai-chan, I saw him sneaking at something in the rehearsal room earlier.” He added.
“Oh~ thank you…” Without any further word, Yuya proceeded to their rehearsal room with a grin since he knows that he will catch the chibi penguin now. “I’ll win ha-ha!” He said to himself. Upon reaching the rehearsal room, he slowly opened the door finding no one. “What the?!” He forcefully opened the door. “He’s not even here! That Chibi Penguin!”
“And who are you calling Chibi?” A familiar voice startled him.
“Whoa! Don’t appear behind me like that! You can give me heart attack!” Yuya exclaimed.
“Well, you had given my heart more that an attack…” Daiki murmured.
“Did you say something?” Yuya asked leaning down to match the younger’s height.
“Eh?” Daiki faced the older startling himself with the close gap between them “Too close!” Daiki pushed the older away.
“What’s wrong with being too close!” Yuya pouted.
“Don’t pout it doesn’t suit you!” Daiki said sarcastically. Then silence filled the room. None of them is taking the initiative to talk. “U-Uhm Yu-Yuya…” Daiki then broke the silence.
“Hmm?” Yuya answered without looking back to the younger.
“A-ano…” Daiki paused and that made Yuya turn to him.
“Eh?! What’s wrong? You’re all red! Are you sick?!” Yuya panicked “And you even called me by my name!” Yuya gestured to touch the younger’s forehead but paused when he saw him fidgeting. “W-what’s wrong?” Yuya tilted his head, but now he was worried. “Are you hurting somewhere?”
“Uh, no… I’m fine…” Daiki fiddled on his fingers. “I-I just wa-want to say Ha-…” He paused again.
“ha?” Yuya repated.
“Ha-haaaaaaaa…” Daiki couldn’t continue.
“ha? Ha what?” Yuya said.”C’mon Daiki, you know I’m useless in guessing games….” Yuya joked and made Daiki pout. “Oi! What is wrong with you?!” Yuya asked again. And why the hell are you being so cute today?!!!! Do you really want me to die early?! He thought to himself.
“I “ Daiki continued “Happy Birthday!” Yes finally, he was able to say it.
“Eh?” Yuya tilted his head. “That’s it?!” Yuya shouted in frustration. I thought he was gonna say something important! Silly me! I expected too much… He thought to himself again.
“Yu-Yuya…ano…” Daiki added.
“What?!” he shouted at the younger and soon regretted it as Daiki was fidgeting again. “Daiki, I didn’t mean to shout” he cooed the younger.
“I just wanted to know if you want to…” Daiki paused again.
“What is it? Tell me…”
“If you…I-if you would want to…” Daiki inhaled “go out with me…” He murmured.
“What?” Yuya asked/ “I didn’t heard it you know…”
“g-go out w-wi-with m-me…” He repeated.
“Huh?” Yuya again using his dumbness. “Sure, let’s go out it’s kinda hot in here.”
“what?!” Daiki stood up fast upon hearing Yuya’s misunderstanding. “Y-you! BAKAKI! Do you know how much courage I put just to say those words and you will just misunderstand it! I HATE YOU!!!!” Daiki rushed to the door but was stopped by the latter.
“Just say it clearly to me and I will understand it..” Yuya grinned.
“I won’t!” Daiki said.
“You wont?” Yuya repeated.
“Yeah! I WON”T!” Daiki pouted and stomped his feet to one corner of the room.
“Then I will make you say it…” Yuya murmured and approached Daiki who was sulking at the corner. “Dai-chan…” he called sweetly.
“Wha-uphm!” He couldn’t continue his words since Yuya locked his lips with his. “Y-you…” Daiki said as Yuya pulled away.
“Now, say it again..” Yuya provoked. “Say that you want to go out with me…”
“Go out with me..” Daiki followed Yuya’s order like a pet dog with his face turning bright red like a tomato.
“that’s a good boy” Yuya smiled. “And I will go out with you Dai-chan~” He pulled the younger to a tight embrace.
“I love you, Yuya…” Daiki uttered while hiding his red face to the latter’s chect.
“I love you too, Dai-chan~” Yuya responded with a big smile on his face.
“And” Daiki pulled away from Yuya “Happy birthday again…” Daiki smiled and he received another kiss on the lis from the older.
“Thank You…” He smiled
“I’m sorry I don’t have a gift…”
“You already gave me one..”
“Eh? What?”
“Your Love…” upon hearing those words from Yuya, Daiki’s face turned brught red again. “And I will treasure that gift forever…” Then he gave his penguin a peck on his forehead.
“Un!” Daiki nodded.
“Aww You two stop that rabu rabu moment of yours and get ready to leave!” Hikaru teased.
“Shut up hikaru, you’ll ruin their mood!” Chinen added.
“Oy! Yuya you owe us a treat! It’s your birthday!” Yuto said happily.
“C’mon new couple, were have to go now.” Then the unexpected comment coming from Yabu.
“ha-ha! Kou-chan nice one!” Kei complemented his boyfriend.
“You really love to tease people don’t you?” Yuya asked with a grin present on his face. While Daiki was still fidgeting on his back. “Dai-chan let’s go…” Yuya held the latter’s hand tightly as they left the jimusho.
I thought this was just another birthday of mine that would pass without any change but you came. You changed my daily routine, you changed everything. You changed my world, Thank You Arioka Daiki, my sweet Chibi Penguin… - Takaki Yuya
