Charlie Hunnam's Kitten Rescue Story

May 07, 2017 00:10

You may remember the video I posted where late night host Jimmy Kimmel talked about saving his newborn son who was born with a heart defect. He was off last week to be with his family and had guest hosts filling in. In the video below, Kristen Bell was the guest host and she had actor Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Crimson Peak, Pacific Rim, ( Read more... )

Thanks for that. I really like Charlie Hunnam, he's a good actor and very easy on the eyes.

That being said, I have NO desire at all to see the new King Arthur movie he is in. I'm not into Guy Ritchie movies and that screenplay looks as if they tried to modernize it, even with the haircuts. Sorry. To me, that is sacreligious to the King Arthur legend.

IMHO, the best Arthurian legend movie that has been made, thus far, is John Boorman's "Excalibur" made back in 1981. To me, that movie is Arthurian perfection. This new thing looks like a joke! No thank you!

You're welcome. I'm not a Guy Ritchie fan either and based on the trailer, this King Arthur movie looks like a bit of a mess. Charlie makes some odd choices when it comes to movies he wants to be in, but I've seen all his movies.

Frankly, I haven't seen him in any movie that equals the job he did on seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy.

I don't think I've seen the John Boorman movie. I'll have to track it down at Netflix.

I just watched Charlie in The Lost City of Z. It was terrific. I was surprised at how good Robert Pattinson was in it, too.

I liked him in "Pacific Rim", but you're right. He was best as Jax Teller on "Sons of Anarchy". And yeah, a mess is exactly what it looks like. I'm so glad I'm NOT the only one who thinks so. Usually, that is the case.

I think you will love "Excalibur". It's a classic! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082348/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I just watched the trailer for "Excalibur" and it looks really good. And I see Helen Mirren is in it. I love her. I'll put this movie in my Netflix queue. Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh yeah, she's so good in it. Liam Neeson and Patrick Stewart are in it, as well. The actor who plays King Arthur in it, Nigel Terry, died in April of 2015. He played that part so well, when he died, I posted that "King Arthur had passed away". He was truly beautiful in it. And I love that they use and make use of Merlin the Magician. He is a great character in the story.

I know! And Kristen Bell is an avid animal lover. Charlie is a sweetheart in every sense of the word, as well as a very fine actor.

omg, now I love him even more than I already do! He's wonderful in the interview with Kristen, so relaxed and natural. And he saved his cat, how great is that?!

I was able to see Charlie in Lost City of Z and thought he was very good in it. I'm looking forward to King Arthur, even though I'm not really a fan of Guy Ritchie films and it does sound like the movie is going to be a bit of a mess...like, they are using the name Arthur but writing a film that has nothing to do with what we know as the historical character.

I've seen most of Charlie's films/shows, even the more obscure ones, and still love him most as Jax in SoA. But he was a lot of fun as Lloyd in Undeclared, and sexy with Katie Holmes in the movie Abandon, too. And I liked his Riley in Pacific Rim.

Yes, Lloyd in Undeclared! I loved that show and Lloyd when it was originally on. Then years n years later, after Pacific Rim and Charlie becoming more well known, I happened on Undeclared on Netflix and was like, "oh man, I remember this show!" And rewatched and was like, "Who is that? Is that...No!" He was such a baby in it, awwww.

You are the second person to mention "Undeclared." Somehow I missed that one, but I'll put it in my Netflix queue. I saw his "Queer as Folk" -- the British version -- and he looked so young in that.

Charlie was SO YOUNG in Undeclared. I think I read that it was one of the first projects he worked on after coming to the States. And as I understand it, he's remained friends with Seth Rogan and others from the show - it must have been fun to work on.
