Pimping "Poldark"

I'm pretty sure all my friends in the US have access to a PBS station. There's a show you should not miss: Poldark this Sunday on Masterpiece Theatre. It's a heart-thumping good story, as those of you know who saw Robin Ellis in the original Masterpiece Theatre production many years ago. I did, and I confess I hated most of it. I loved Arya's stuff and I thought Jon's death was really powerful, but otherwise I thought it was bad. Sorry. I've grown to think of the show as increasingly bad fanfic.

Really? I thought it was a really good episode. I was shocked by the deaths of Shereen, Stannis, his wife and, of course, Jon Snow. I've read a ton of theories including that Jon is meant to be the Lord of Light, not Stannis, and Mel will bring him back to life. I stopped reading the books before this point so I don't know what happened there, but viewers who have are throwing out all manner of theories.

There have been many discussions about Cersei's Walk of Shame, too, and arguments about whether or not it was Lena. From the shoulders up, it was. The full view was a body double with Lena's head CGI'd on. Lena was pregnant when this scene was filmed so they couldn't use her, plus she also has a no nudity clause in her GOT conract.

Animal lover that I am, my heart broke for poor Drogon. I hope he lives. I wanted to reach into my TV and pet his nose.

I'm looking forward to next season. I read that the show has been given a season 7, too.

Hmm, that's a thought. Benedict is an only child, but I'm sure has many friends. I know he enjoys working with Martin, but I'm not sure they have that strong a friendship. Also, there may be someone his wife wants to fill the role.
