[The video shows Reid in the library with books stacked up and legal pads scattered. He's got a digital audio recorder with him as well]So...I don't know what happened on Mars but I'm trying to figure it out. If I could get p-people to talk to me about what they saw in the Pit, or what they experienced on the planet, I'd appreciate it. Anything you

Damn. [She doesn't exactly know what that really means.] So like, split personalities?

[He furrows his brow, searching for the best way to explain it]
Not really, that's multiple personality disorder. Paranoid Schizophrenia is usually characterized by hallucinations, paranoid delusions. Sometimes it affects her speech and memory. She forgets who I am, what day it is. Most of the time she still thinks she's a literature professor. She has problems with what's real and what's not.

[Well. If Faith was smarter, she'd figure that her mom must've suffered from something similar. As such, she's pretty sure that she was just a drunk and while Reid's situation sounds way shitty, she's still not sure it's quite the same.]
Oh. Had to be tough.

[He watches Faith a minute then nods] Paranoid Schizophrenia is genetic. I kind of think that's what I'd see in the Pit. My Mom and then...me like that.
[He's trying to bring the conversation back around to the pit, hoping he's gained enough of Faith's trust by sharing that she'll share back]

Know that feeling, little too well. Kinda surprised that it's not the show I got when I went down.

From what I'm hearing? So far everyone experienced something that's already happened or something that was a fear. Maybe a combination of both.

Yeah, sounds about right.

I'm h-hoping I can come up with a pattern for this event then compare it to others and find a common factor. If I can do that, I might be able to help us with future events or even find a way out of here.

You're saying you want details.

It might help me. W-we can talk l-longer if you want. I'm not in any hurry.

Went down, didn't see anything at first. You know, just black and empty? Then it was just a vamp, a normal everyday vamp.
[She shook her head, furrowing her eyebrows a little and chomping down on the sucker.]
Shoulda been easy, pulled the stake outta my jacket, did a little dodging and insteada him goin' down...

But it didn't happen that way.

Nah. He got the jump on me and when I tried to thrust, it was like-- I wasn't a slayer.
[Faith shrugs and continues to stare down at the table.]

Th-that's a common fear. Powerlessness.
[He tucks his hair behind his ears.]
It's probably w-worse for you.

It's more than that, Superdome. Being a slayer, it's like-- when you get called, it changes you. Forever.
[Oops, she realizes that she's getting waaaay too deep into this. Deal was, she told him what she saw and that was that.]
But whatever, not like I died or anything. Climbing back out with a hole in my side wasn't all that fun but it's not like that's not something I haven't dealt with before.
