Oh my! I really enjoyed this! The quirky humor and the atrocious purple prose and the snarky friends - it was all so much fun! the idea of PCY as a starving poet is a refreshing one, and the idea of him being even more than that was even better. And poor JD, all caught up in feeling affection for the terrible poet even as he is more than fully aware of how bad his poetry really is. Also...JD as a cat. Perfect.

This was wonderful! Thank you for sharing!

♥ Thank you for reading! I'm really glad that you enjoyed the silliness and how truly awful the poetry was (I...am not good at poetry ;)) and the friendship between them. It was an interesting prompt, and you know I'm always about challenges! ;) I'm glad I took it, and I'm glad you liked my take on it! ^^ Poor Jongdae indeed! And Jongdae is always a cat. ;)

Thank you again! ♥ (Sorry I took so long to respond, I'm terrible at responding this year. ;;;;;)

I don't even know what to say...I'm angry at myself for taking so long to read this. This was the truest definition of a "gift" fic as there could be because I absolutely loved every single second of this ( ... )

♥♥♥♥ I'm so glad that you enjoyed it!! I found it a really interesting prompt to take up, not something I've ever done before, and I appreciated the ability to kind of tweak it into something a little different, with that twist of silliness--just enough not to hurt anyone too much. I'm so happy that you liked it so much, and found it funny! It, of course, wouldn't exist without you. :)

I'm really glad you enjoyed the attempt at poetry. He really did try, bless him, but reaching for a thesaurus constantly wasn't always the right move--sometimes less is more!
They are absolutely a cat and a dog. And yet they work so well together. :)
:D I'm super flattered, honestly. Thank you~~!

I'm glad you enjoyed the outtakes too! I really kind of needed that. XD But I didn't want to overload readers, so it was just 9 snippets. :)

Thank you so much again for reading it, and I'm really happy that you enjoyed it!!! ♥

I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond to such a lovely comment. You were so sweet to me! ♥

This was just all around enjoyable! ♥
I'm uneducated on poetry, so I can't tell whether you were parodying certain poems, though I'm fairly certain I caught on later, with the 'Chewing Gum' and the 'Cider' - or maybe I'm just listening to too much K-pop, haha...
Either way, congrats on putting these wonderful works of poetry together, I facepalmed along with Jongdae. I adore how he genuinely tried and wouldn't see how this would be bad, no matter what BaekSoo said. Come to think of it, it only makes his experiment that much more effective.

Chanyeol was just lovely all around and no matter the acting, he was genuinely miserable when Jongdae approached him at last. You made me wanna cuddle puppy Yeol ;_;
(And eat cake)
Jongdae was a nicely shaped character, too - not overly flashy or dramatic, but just right :3
The cat metaphor was actually really nice, and I won't go into that or you won't see the end of it *haha*

Anyway, thanks for writing this lovely fic ♥

Thank you for reading! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

I wasn't per se, I was just....playing with it? The K-pop was definitely K-pop though, because it was just silly. I'm not very good at poetry, which helps at writing bad poetry. I just tried to make it as bad as possible. I am happy that you enjoyed how awful they were and also facepalmed. ;)
Bless him, he really did try, didn't he! Pity about the abuse of the thesaurus though--some of the original versions of the poems weren't actually as bad as they became with the addition of a thesaurus. And yet there are people who would still enjoy some of them. The fact it's believable definitely means that the experiment works!

Chanyeol was so sweet. Absolute puppy!Yeol who needs all the fluff and hugs and cake in the world. Jongdae really did kind of save him.
I'm glad you enjoyed kitty!Jongdae, but Jongdae is just like a cat to me. XD I wouldn't mind listening to that. ;)

Thank you again for reading! I'm sorry I'm so late in responding to you. I really appreciated your comment!
