One day is my favorite movie & one of my favorite books. I cry rivers whenever I watch that movie, I always end up sobbing like an idiot and so there's that. I read the fanfiction without reading the author's notes, so I didn't know it was based on that book, but needless to say I got incredibly emotional.
Thank you so much for making my favorite movie into a chanbaek fanfiction, I couldn't have asked anything better.
/goes back to crying/

I put the note at the end to refrain from spoiling readers, and I'm so glad you didn't find it boring despite having read the book! Thank you for your lovely comment, it means a lot to me ;;;;

This is so sweet what the heck I absolutely love fics that span over a good number of years because I think it really shows that it does take a while to get everything to fit right and I just love love how you expressed that with the way they were always dating others and like pretty much any time one was free, stuff was going down with the others. I can't quote rn bc I'm on mobile but the line where Baekhyun says that he's not a backup plan is so so good and sorry this comment is weak af but I just want to say I love this thank you so much for writing

It def does take time, and I felt Chanyeol and Baekhyun in this story needed to grow quite a lot before they'd be right for each other, hence the long time span. Baek was definitely hurt by Chanyeol at first, but I think they did manage to understand each other a little better by the end. Thank you so much for your kind words, I'm really happy you enjoyed this!!

this was a nice read. they spent so much time and yet so little together. do you get me? like it has been 15 years of knowing each other but they don't really spend time with each other as much due to their own jobs and needs and relationship but they're just always there...together. idek what i'm saying but ugh this gives me feels. i just knew that chanyeol would be the one too dense in this story to realize everything but it still frustrated me -_-
i mean, he contacted baekhyun first when he got news about his mother? like dude isn't that the biggest hint everrrr you giant elf u_u

thank you so much for joining the fest! i was so happy when i saw how long the story was!!! sldhaka i love them long hahaha

Since they were close friends for years, Chanyeol and Baekhyun spent quite a lot of time close by one another, but they def also missed out on a lot more time they could've had if there hadn't been all those issues in the way. I'm really glad you liked this - thank you so much for reading and commenting!!

Thank you for this lovely comment♡ I'm sorry ;; it must've been frustrating, but aside from Chanyeol being dense, I think he really did need time to get to the point where he wanted to be with Baek. Still I'm really glad you enjoyed reading!!

I enjoyed this a lot!
You managed to convey all your meaning in just the right way at just the right pace in few words, as per the style of the fic. Sometimes, timehopping can make a reader feel a little detatched but this felt seamless.
Your characterisation was perfect and it was just so well written!
You must be and English writer right? Even if you're not, I'm an English reader and I really felt at ease reading this because the way you've written the dialogue, the phrasing etc, is so familliar to me, I just understood all the emotions and meaning.
I also liked the 'realness' of this story. They lived their lives, they saw other people, their friendship really did feel true and as much as it's nice to read fanciful romance, your portrayal of both in this was how things can actually be in real life as opposed to just a romance novel.
Anyway, thank you for writing this :)

For this fic I definitely worked the hardest on the characters - I wanted to incorporate dynamics I see in their rl friendship, and personality traits I see in their rl selves. I'm so so happy you liked the realness of the story and their friendship, it means my effort was recognised!! I'm not English, but I do live in England at present so I guess some of the subtle nuances of the language have rubbed off on me ;; I'm glad you found the writing style comfortable to read and comprehensible despite the amount of timeskipping! Thank you for reading and leaving this wonderful comment, it means a lot to me! ♡
