“Camping?”

Chanyeol’s lazily stirring his drink at a café with Baekhyun and Jongin.

“What’s up with the sudden suggestion? I’ve known you two forever and I know for a fact that all you guys like to do is play video games and watch Netflix all day.” Chanyeol shoots the both of them a dubious look, because they must be scheming something. He can just feel it. He just can’t figure out what it is exactly.

“We just thought it would be a good idea,” Baekhyun argues, shrugging in a non-committal fashion.

He’s definitely hiding something.

“It’s just going to be us, plus Sehun and Kyungsoo. “

Chanyeol raises one eyebrow.

“Ah, I see. So I’m pretty much going to be the fifth wheel, right?” Chanyeol scowls at his friends. “Why would I even go? The both of you are just going to try and get into Sehun’s and Kyungsoo’s pants anyways.”

“No,” Baekhyun says, crossing his arms indignantly. “We promise we won’t. This will just be a fun outing. Plus, we need you to lift the mood!”

“Please,” Jongin says, but something about the invitation still makes Chanyeol wary. “I’ll take you out to dinner or something, or I’ll owe you one next time. Please, just this once. It’s only going to be one night anyways.

Chanyeol sighs. He thinks he’s going to regret this.

“Okay, okay,” He shakes his head, thinking to himself that this is probably some sort of trap he’s falling into, “I’ll go.”

But then Jongin and Baekhyun share a victorious look and a devilish smile, and Chanyeol only wonders what trap he’s fallen into this time.

The guys all gather at the nearby park, because Jongin has rented out a mini-van so they can travel in comfort with all their belongings. Everything is loaded up and everyone is there, ready to go.

Jongin will be driving, and Sehun called shotgun already. Baekhyun and Kyungsoo are going to take the middle row, so Chanyeol figures he’ll get the back all to himself, which is nice, because then he can lay out comfortably to sleep.

“Let’s go?” Chanyeol says as he shuts the trunk. He’s wondering why nobody is moving a muscle. It’s like they’re waiting for someone.

“Uh,” Jongin says, avoiding Chanyeol’s questioning gaze. It seems like he’s stalling, and he exchanges a panicked look with Baekhyun, who is also avoiding Chanyeol’s searching gaze.

“What do you mean?” Sehun asks, doing something on his phone. “Not everyone’s here yet.”

Chanyeol’s puzzled. He’s positive that Jongin and Baekhyun told him it would only be them five.

And as Chanyeol is trying to work things out in his head, his eyes focus on someone behind Kyungsoo, and he blanches.

“Hi guys!” Luhan calls, slightly breathless because he was just running, “Sorry I’m late! I realized I forgot to turn off a light when I was half-way here.”

Everyone exchanges greetings, and when it’s Chanyeol’s turn, Baekhyun and Jongin exchange another devilish grin.

Chanyeol is frozen. He wouldn’t be surprised if his mouth was hanging open either.

Of course, he thinks, of course . Of course Jongin and Baekhyun would plot something like a camping trip all of a sudden.

Not only is this an opportunity for them to possibly get it on with Sehun and Kyungsoo, they’ve also set him up with none other than his major crush, Luhan.

Chanyeol thinks he’s fucked. He’s never been able to do anything when Luhan’s nearby. He can’t even speak properly, let alone act like a competent human being.

“Oh, hey Chanyeol,” Luhan greets, and Chanyeol has a string of curses running through his mind, because fuck, Luhan’s smile is so cute, and god damn the way his eyes crinkle at the corners is absolutely perfect.

The only thing that brings Chanyeol out of his thoughts and his panic are the snickering laughs that belong to Jongin and Baekhyun, the strange look Sehun is giving him, and the soft chuckles Kyungsoo is trying to hide behind his hand.

“Oh, u-um,” Chanyeol stammers, because somewhere in the process of his daydreams and noticing the other’s laughing at him, Luhan is right in front of him, peering cutely up at him and Chanyeol figures the blush on his cheeks is bright red. “H-hey, Luhan,” Chanyeol manages to finally say.

“Let’s get going?” Baekhyun smirks, laughing at how flustered they’ve made Chanyeol. So far, he thinks, things are going perfectly according to plan.

Everyone starts to file into the car, and Luhan’s the first one in.

“Is it okay if I take a seat in the back? The back is my favorite,” Luhan smiles, and Chanyeol nods before even comprehending because he’d do anything for Luhan. And then he realizes that he’s also sitting in the back and then he wants to jump off a cliff because he’s sure he’s going to make an even bigger fool of himself on the car ride to the camping grounds.

Jongin is silently snickering, Baekhyun is dying of silent laughter, and Sehun is oblivious. Luhan is humming a soft tune, being cute like always, Chanyeol thinks, and he hesitates getting into the car.

The only one who seems to have sympathy for Chanyeol is Kyungsoo, who tries to give him a kind smile, patting him on the back before entering the car.

Chanyeol takes a breath, sighs, shakes his head, and gets in the car, because there’s nothing he can do now.

In the car, everyone is lively and jamming out to the music on the stereo. Even Chanyeol, who can’t help but be stiff when he’s next to the most perfect human being on the earth, is a little more relaxed with the music.

And just as Chanyeol thinks that this car ride and camping trip might just be okay, Luhan turns to him.

“So, Chanyeol, how have you been? I haven’t seen you at all since the last group gathering.” Luhan asks casually, but he’s turned in his seat all the way so he can look directly at Chanyeol.

But, Chanyeol is sitting stiffly in his seat, and he awkwardly turns his head briefly to Luhan, but he can’t even look long because the fact that the doe-eyed boy is looking just at him like that is more than enough to make his heart pound in his chest and for the butterflies to flutter in his stomach.

“G-good,” Chanyeol answers generically, and try as he might, he can’t edge out the nervous tone of his voice or the stutter that accompanies it. “And you?” Chanyeol adds to be polite, though the only thing he would like is for Luhan’s attention is to be diverted somewhere off of himself so he won’t die of embarrassment and totally ruin himself in front of the guy who might just be the love of his life.

And then Luhan’s smiling that terribly cute smile of his, and Chanyeol whips his head away so quickly that he actually thinks he might have pulled something.

And in addition to the major embarrassment Chanyeol feels, there’s a raging anger at Baekhyun and Jongin growing inside of him, because the two of them set all this up, and because the two of them are practically laughing their asses at him.

Luhan keeps asking Chanyeol simple questions, like what he’s doing now, what kind of ice cream is his favorite, what his favorite color is, and any other of the curious questions that pop into Luhan’s head.

And in response to each of the questions, Chanyeol tries his best to answer confidently, trying to lose his shaky voice and the stutter he seems to only have around Luhan. Yet, in every answer he gives, he stammers and loses his nerve, because this is Luhan , his crush of several years who he’s been completely smitten for and head over heels for.

Chanyeol only hopes that it’s not that obvious, because he doesn’t know what he’d do if Luhan rejected him. He thinks that he’d rather live with a one-sided love without Luhan knowing than hearing from Luhan that he doesn’t like him back, because he’s perfectly content with just watching from a distance.

And only to make matters worse, Luhan seems very touchy, very hands on. Chanyeol’s not sure if this is something about Luhan that he simply didn’t know, or if Luhan only seems to be very touchy recently.

Regardless, Luhan is being very touchy, and he’s so natural about it that nobody else seems to notice but Chanyeol.

“Oh, look at that!” Luhan exclaims, leaning close to Chanyeol to point at something out the window on his side. They’re driving through the countryside, and Luhan is absolutely enthralled.

Chanyeol feels the latter’s hand rest on the crook of his arm naturally, and it’s as if the skin is flaming hot where Luhan’s delicate fingertips lay. And then Luhan’s smiling again .

“Isn’t it pretty?” Luhan asks, head tilting up to Chanyeol, and Chanyeol feels like he’s hot all over, like he’s simply burning all over.

“U-uh, yeah,” Chanyeol tries to respond, but it comes out sounding like a question. Jongin and Baekhyun burst out cackling again, yet Luhan seems to not notice. He’s too engrossed in watching the outdoors fly past to notice any of Baekhyun or Jongin’s scheming.

Sehun, on the other hand, is completely oblivious. If anything, he’s mildly irritated at the way Baekhyun and Jongin are laughing because he wants in on the joke but they just won’t tell him, so all he can do is grumpily return his attention to his hand phone.

And then Kyungsoo can’t help but feel sorry for Chanyeol, because he sees it all happening. There are times where he can’t help but laugh a little as well, but for the most part, he’s feeling sympathy for Chanyeol. He sees how Luhan’s questions are flustering him, and how his smiles and his touches bring the blush to Chanyeol’s cheeks.

So, the car ride continues with Baekhyun and Jongin laughing their asses off, Sehun begging to know what the joke is, Kyungsoo sending looks of pity over to Chanyeol, Luhan clinging to Chanyeol’s side like it’s what he was meant to do, and Chanyeol sitting up straight as can be, trying to keep a straight face lest a smile start to grow because of how close he is to Luhan.

Later along the car ride, Kyungsoo is driving. He swapped with Jongin at a rest stop so Jongin could take a break, and everyone is feeling a little sleepy.

Chanyeol can feel his eyelids drooping shut, but he forces them open again. It’s hard to keep fighting the sleep off, and he’s not even sure why he’s trying to stay awake. His head will suddenly droop down before snapping back up, trying to keep himself awake.

Luhan, who sees all of this, hides a chuckle behind a hand.

“Chanyeol?” He calls, and Chanyeol is only half-conscious at this point. He’s out of it to the point that he’s not even all that flustered when facing Luhan.

“Huh?” Chanyeol half mumbles, eyelids already halfway down.

“Go to sleep, okay? There’s no point in trying to stay awake. You’ll need your energy for when we arrive.” Luhan urges, waving his hand downwards in front of Chanyeol’s face, a cute motion to encourage Chanyeol to sleep.

Chanyeol hesitates, and he’s just a little bit flustered, but he agrees, and within just moments, he’s asleep.

Chanyeol wakes a little later, stirring gradually. His vision is bleary, but he’s well rested. The first thing he notices is that they’re still on the road, and most everyone, except Kyungsoo, is sleeping. He meets Kyungsoo’s gaze through the rear-view mirror, and he expects a nod of acknowledgement, yet what he gets is a sympathetic look.

Chanyeol wonders why, because he’s only been getting that look whenever he was getting flustered by Luhan.

Luhan.

…oh.

OH.

Chanyeol sucks in a sharp breath and his entire body goes rigid. He doesn’t dare move a muscle in his body, because Luhan’s head is lolling comfortably on his shoulder, and Luhan’s completely asleep.

Chanyeol wonders how long they’ve been like this, and looking down, he finds that he can actually relax. He’s not flustered at all, and he figures it’s probably because Luhan is asleep. Chanyeol can’t help but take advantage of this opportunity, and he lets his eyes roam all he wants, something he wouldn’t dare to do if Luhan’s doe-eyes were looking back at him.

But, the road is bumpy, because Kyungsoo is now off the highway and driving on local roads since the campsite is nearing.

But, the bumps are causing Luhan’s head to bump, and his head is falling lower and lower. It’s off of Chanyeol’s shoulder and down to his chest, and then they hit a particularly rough patch that causes Luhan to slip completely out of his seatbelt so that he’s laying comfortably with his head right in Chanyeol’s lap. Somehow, Luhan doesn’t seem to wake up, and Chanyeol is momentarily panicking throughout the entire process because he couldn’t do anything to keep Luhan up.

And now that Luhan’s settled comfortably on his lap, Chanyeol really can’t do anything because he doesn’t think he can bear to wake such a peaceful sleep.

Chanyeol finally calms from his flustered state, and the last thing he wants to happen is to wake Luhan up, but he can’t bring himself to even try to prop Luhan back up into his own seat because he doesn’t think he could bear another confrontation with Luhan, and such an awkward one at that. His arms flail a little as he tries to decide what to do, but he finally gives up, leaving Luhan to sleep peacefully on his lap.

Somewhere along the way, Chanyeol’s gaze falls upon Luhan’s face, and he can’t tear his gaze away. He thinks that he could do this all day, watching the rise and fall of Luhan’s chest with every breath, seeing his cute button nose, his slightly flushed cheeks, and his lightly ruffled bangs. Chanyeol watches the way Luhan’s eyelashes flutter like he’s dreaming, and the way his pretty pink lips are just slightly parted.

Before he even knows it or consciously comprehends it, Chanyeol realizes that his long fingertips are lightly tracing Luhan’s delicate features. He runs an index finger lightly on each of Luhan’s eyebrows, traces it down the bridge of his nose and down to those soft, plush lips.

Chanyeol is so engrossed that he doesn’t even realize how Luhan’s eyelashes are fluttering more than usual, or how Luhan is beginning to stir softly.

And then Luhan’s eyes are fluttering open, but Chanyeol’s too busy tracing invisible patterns into Luhan’s soft skin. Chanyeol doesn’t even realize that Luhan’s awake and that his eyes are completely wide open until Luhan says something to break the silence and the peace.

“Am I that attractive?” Luhan asks innocently, his eyes bright and a slight smile curling at his lips. It’s supposed to be a joke, but Chanyeol jolts abruptly, his hands quickly pulling away and his gaze quickly averting away all at once.

Luhan is left puzzled as he sits up, because Chanyeol is completely stiff again. He’s curious by Chanyeol’s reaction, but luckily for Chanyeol, he’s distracted by Kyungsoo.

“We’re almost there, guys. Will you wake up everyone else?” Kyungsoo says, mostly just to save Chanyeol from humiliation and embarrassment.

And just like that, Luhan’s attention is diverted, and he’s up out of his seat to nudge at the sleeping Baekhyun, Jongin, and Sehun.

Everyone begins to stir and Chanyeol tries to pretend that nothing ever happened. He tries to busy himself by fiddling with his fingers, or looking at the window. Basically, he’s doing anything other than looking at Luhan, but he can’t help but think about how it felt to have his fingers running through Luhan’s hair, or his fingertips tracing delicate features.

The only issue is that Luhan won’t stop staring at Chanyeol, and he can feel the heated gaze, and it just won’t leave. Chanyeol thinks he can feel heat rising to his cheeks despite how hard it is to fight it off.

When they finally arrive, everyone is in a slight haze from sleep, but they quickly snap back to their senses because there’s a lot of work to be done. Everyone pairs off to set up the tents, and a part of Chanyeol is not surprised that he’s been paired with Luhan. Especially by the way Jongin and Baekhyun are sending him devilish glances over their shoulders.

“Shall we get started, then?” Luhan suggests, gesturing to the heavy tent set-up gear in his arms, which he’s having a little bit of difficulty carrying all by himself.

Chanyeol jolts almost too quickly to take more than half of the items out of Luhan’s arms and into his own.

“Y-yeah,” Chanyeol stammers, and just like that, they get to work.

Their teamwork is by far better than Baekhyun and Kyungsoo’s or Jongin and Sehun’s, though it’s probably because Baekhyun is too busy trying to flirt and Kyungsoo is too busy trying to get him to focus, and because Jongin and Sehun are fooling around with one another rather than setting up their tent.

Plus, Chanyeol seems to be trying to do anything that will get his mind off of Luhan, so he works in practically a frenzy. As long as it doesn’t involve Luhan, he thinks, because he’s not sure how much embarrassment and suffering he can take in front of Luhan. He’s not even sure what the latter thinks of him anymore.

Luhan, on the other hand, keeps trying to connect with Chanyeol somehow, to just find a little bit of common ground. But, Chanyeol keeps avoiding him like he’s a curse.

And finally, as he’s hammering a stake down into the ground, Luhan can’t help but huff out loud, a frustrated sound that reaches even Chanyeol’s blocked off ears. And then all of a sudden, Chanyeol feels terrible, because Luhan looks tired and he’s been working hard, but all Chanyeol has been doing is trying to brush off Luhan’s questions and attempts to start a conversation.

“Chanyeol?” Luhan asks, and it’s a little hot under the afternoon sun, so he blows his bangs upward with a breath, “Will you go and get firewood for tonight? I don’t think the others are going to have time since their tents aren’t quite up yet.”

And Chanyeol is all too eager to go.

When Chanyeol comes back with an armload of firewood, he piles it into the pit. Everyone is pretty much busy setting up for dinner or helping to cook. All the tents are up, and the sun is gradually setting. It’s really beautiful, Chanyeol thinks, and he’s too busy admiring the view of trees and hills that he doesn’t even notice Luhan walking right up to him.

“We’re sharing a tent together. That’s okay, right?”

Chanyeol freezes, because he can’t believe what he’s just heard. And then that’s when he starts to freak out and his eyes are darting to find Jongin or Baekhyun, possibly even Kyungsoo or Sehun, but they’re all engrossed in their evening tasks, too busy to notice Chanyeol’s pleading glances.

“You don’t like it?” Luhan asks, and he’s acting oblivious and completely cute on purpose now, using his doe eyes to look sad and disappointed. “Oh,” He says, and his shoulders slump, “Okay…I understand if you don’t want to share with me…”

“NO!” Chanyeol shouts without warning or thinking, “I LIKE IT.” And then there’s a silence that falls, and Chanyeol doesn’t know what to do because Luhan has an unreadable expression on his face, and he can feel his cheeks flame. “U-uh, I mean, um, i-its just that, I don’t mind, um, and-“

Luhan interrupts Chanyeol’s stammering mess, saving him on purpose from further embarrassment. Though, Luhan thinks, a flustered Chanyeol is incredibly cute. Especially with the way his hair bounces as the energy buzzes through his body, and the way his limbs flail a little as he tries to explain himself, or the way Chanyeol will messily run his fingers through his hair when he’s frustrated or flustered.

“I was just kidding,” Luhan laughs softly, giving Luhan a light, playful shove. And then he reaches up a hand to pat lightly at Chanyeol’s very warm cheeks. Luhan can’t help but show his affection through his actions when he finds Chanyeol so perfectly endearing. “Plus, I already put our bags and things into the tent.”

Chanyeol is nearly speechless. All he can think about is the way Luhan’s hand felt on his skin and how cute the latter was even while tricking him.

“Shall we wash up for dinner?” Luhan suggests, and when he receives no visible response from the statue Chanyeol, he can’t help but laugh again before grasping the taller’s hand, tugging him along.

After a delicious dinner that has them all full and content, they break out the graham crackers, marshmallows, and the chocolate, because what camping experience doesn’t include s’mores?

Practically during all of dinner, Chanyeol has done his best to avoid Luhan like he’s the plague. Just thinking about him makes his cheeks flush pink, and this worries Chanyeol a little because his feelings have never been this strong at all.

And to make things even harder for Chanyeol, Luhan just won’t seem to leave him alone anymore. Chanyeol had been pretty sure that Luhan hadn’t even noticed him before, yet now, Luhan can’t even keep his gaze off Chanyeol. Chanyeol can feel the heat of his stare almost constantly, and throughout the evening, Chanyeol can’t even recall a moment where Luhan hadn’t been nearby.

But, cooking the s’mores serves as a relaxing distraction, because everyone seems to be engrossed in their own activities. But, as the night drags on, people are beginning to leave.

“Hey, we’re going to go and play cards,” Jongin announces with a wave before heading into his tent with Sehun.

Chanyeol nods a little hesitantly because their numbers are dwindling.

And then Baekhyun is standing and tugging Kyungsoo forcefully with him. “We’re kind of tired, so we’ll just be going now…” He excuses rather lamely, and just as Kyungsoo is about to interrupt that he’s not sleepy at all, Baekhyun’s palm is slapped over his mouth and he’s being dragged forcefully. “Good night, guys!” Baekhyun forces cheerfully, plastering on a fake smile.

“B-but!” Chanyeol stammers, because that leaves just him and Luhan, but he can’t bring himself to say the words out loud because the last thing he wants to do is hurt Luhan’s feelings.

Jongin and Baekhyun snicker because this is all a part of their plan, and Kyungsoo is only able to send Chanyeol a discreet glance of encouragement before he’s being dragged into the tent by a demanding Baekhyun.

There’s an awkward silence that falls between Chanyeol and Luhan, and the only sound filling the air is the comfortable crackle of the campfire.

Chanyeol fidgets as he holds a marshmallow over the fire, turning it continuously, because he can feel Luhan’s gaze on his profile. He can feel Luhan’s eyes boring holes into him, and he can’t bring himself to look back.

Chanyeol finds himself so lost in his thoughts and in his head that he doesn’t even notice that his marshmallow is on fire until there’s a hand on his own pulling the marshmallow away.

“Don’t burn it,” Luhan laughs softly, snubbing out the flame into the ground. Chanyeol snaps back to reality, and his eyes finally meet Luhan’s despite how hard he had tried to avoid Luhan’s glances.

And when he meet’s Luhan’s gaze, he’s absolutely captivated. The light of the fire only makes Luhan seem to glow more than usual, and he can see the flickering flames reflected in Luhan’s deep eyes. The warmth of the orange and yellows seems to lick onto Luhan’s soft skin, and Chanyeol doesn’t even realize how long he’s staring.

And all of a sudden, there’s something pressed insistently at Chanyeol’s lips, and it snaps him out of his haze.

“Eat,” Luhan insists, and Chanyeol can’t do anything but obey the words because it’s Luhan asking him, so opens his mouth mindlessly, because he’s still captivated by the person who is Luhan, and he’s falling for Luhan like he’s a black hole, and he’s falling so fast and so deep that he’s not sure if he’ll ever be able to come out again.

“You have a little something here,” Luhan points, and Chanyeol reaches for his lips. He tries to wipe whatever it is off, but he misses, because Luhan only points again, more insistently this time. “No, here,” Luhan laughs, because Chanyeol keeps missing the spot, and his face is beginning to flush.

“It’s here ,” Luhan murmurs rather fondly, his hand cupping Chanyeol’s chin and his thumb reaching out to brush at the corner of Chanyeol’s lip, and Chanyeol’s face is now absolutely flaming.

Chanyeol abruptly turns away in an effort to hide his embarrassment, and he keeps eating the s’more as a distraction, but this only causes his lips to become messier.

So, when Chanyeol isn’t really paying attention, Luhan seizes the opportunity to quickly lean in and lick the crumbs off of Chanyeol’s lips. Luhan pulls away with a satisfied smile, because Chanyeol is left completely dazed, and Luhan can’t help but chuckle, and he’s standing before Chanyeol can even comprehend what has even really happened.

A part of Chanyeol wants to believe that was his imagination acting up, but the other part is too shrouded in happiness to even think clearly.

“Let’s put out this fire and get ready for bed? It’s getting pretty late.” Luhan suggests, and all he gets is a nod from and incoherent Chanyeol, and Luhan laughs softly before dragging Chanyeol up out of his seat.

And finally, after washing up, Chanyeol and Luhan are situated comfortably in their tents, ready to sleep. They’ve already said their goodnights, but they can’t seem to fall asleep.

Chanyeol is unbelievably tense, and he lies rather stiffly on his back. And even though they’re both aware that the both of them are awake, neither of them really say a word.

And then Chanyeol hears the rustling of Luhan’s sleeping bag next to his and he can feel Luhan’s body shifting, but he can’t bring himself to look over. Luhan is laying on his side to look at Chanyeol, but Chanyeol still won’t look because he’s sure that he’d lose his mind. He can’t look at Luhan like this, when it’s this dark and they’re this close.

It’s finally Luhan who breaks the silence.

“You know, I like you, Chanyeol,”

Chanyeol figures that Luhan means it in a friendly way, in a purely platonic way that gives way to no indications of love or attraction.

“I like you too.”

But then Luhan elaborates, shifting a little closer.

They’re both situated in the tent. Chanyeol is unbelievably tense, and even though they’ve both said their ;goodnights, they can’t seem to fall asleep. Luhan turns on his side to look at Chanyeol, but Chanyeol lays stiffly on his back, unable to bring himself to look at Luhan because he’s sure he’d lose his mind.

“You know, I like you, Chanyeol,” Chanyeol figures it’s just a friendly way, purely platonic,

“I like you too.”

But then Luhan elaborates, shifting a little closer, and Chanyeol’s will finally breaks, and he indulges himself, turning to face Luhan, and the sights is nearly breathtaking, because this is an expression of affection he’s never ever seen on Luhan’s features before, and he thinks that it’s absolutely flawless.

“I fell asleep on your shoulder on purpose in the car,” Luhan admits, and Chanyeol thinks his eyes are sparkling in the darkness, “You were terribly cute when you were asleep, you know, and you shoulder was awfully comfortable.” Luhan smiles, but it’s not his usual smile. It’s more sheepish, more shy, and Chanyeol thinks he even sees a blush crawling onto Luhan’s cheeks.

“And when I somehow ended up on your lap, I liked the way you stroked my hair. I liked how you touched me like I was something precious to you. I liked how you were almost scared of touching me, like you’d break me, like that’s how important I was you to.”

“And most of all,” Luhan whispers, rolling so that he’s somehow settled on top of Chanyeol’s long body, and Chanyeol is positive that Luhan’s blushing because his cheeks are practically aflame, “I liked the way you looked at me. Like we were the only two people in our worlds, and that nothing else mattered at all.”

When Luhan is done with his confession, Chanyeol is frozen, and he’s flustered, and he’s lost all his capability to think because his ears don’t believe what he’s heard and his brain is saying there’s no way Luhan is in love with him but his heart is beating wildly in his chest.

“Wh-what?” Chanyeol says stupidly, and Luhan can’t help but laugh. Chanyeol thinks that even now, in the dark tent, Luhan is simply beautiful, simply breathtaking.

“I saying that I think I’m in love with you, stupid,” Luhan laughs, and his smile is soft. His eyes are crinkling cutely in the corners, and Chanyeol is completely frozen again, because this can’t be. This can’t be his crush of several years confessing to him.

Chanyeol is frozen and paused for so long that Luhan’s actually afraid Chanyeol doesn’t like him back. A momentary panic flashes cold through Luhan because he was sure that he was right, and that his confession would go smoothly, but Chanyeol is absolutely still and he’s scared that he’s just ruined something that was already good by trying to take it to the next level.

And Chanyeol keeps staring, and Luhan actually thinks that it’s totally not going to happen, that he shouldn’t have confessed, and that this is going to go all wrong and that what is left of their ‘relationship’ is going to be nonexistent. Luhan’s brain is in a panic and all he can seem to do is imagine all the poor outcomes, like not seeing Chanyeol ever again, or Chanyeol thinking that he’s gross, or the two of them being unbearable awkward the rest of their lives, or even-

Luhan’s train of miserable thoughts are stopped because all of a sudden, he’s on his back and Chanyeol is hovering over him. Chanyeol’s knees are around Luhan’s hips, and his hands are spread wide around either side of Luhan’s head.

“Ch-chanyeo-“ Luhan’s about to ask, because he’s incredibly surprised and his eyes are wide open, but he can’t finish because there are a pair of soft lips against his own, and he nearly gasps because it’s Chanyeol. Chanyeol is kissing him, Chanyeol is kissing him, Chanyeol is kissing him.

The kiss is soft, but soon, they’re more insistent and hands are beginning to roam. Luhan’s hanging on for dear life to Chanyeol’s neck because the kiss is so breathtaking that he thinks he might actually lose himself, and Chanyeol’s large hands are tenderly stroking Luhan’s cheeks. They run down Luhan’s chest and to his hips in a manner so gentle that it’s as if Luhan is a porcelain doll and Chanyeol has the unbridled strength of a beast.

There’s not even enough time to breathe when Chanyeol pulls away because Luhan feels like all the breath is being sucked out of his lungs just from feeling Chanyeol’s touch all around his body. Chanyeol’s lips are pressed softly against the skin at Luhan’s neck, and his hands are beginning to slip under Luhan’s shirt.

Luhan can’t help but moan softly because Chanyeol is doing things to his body that he’s never ever felt before.

“You don’t know how happy it makes me to hear that you love me,” Chanyeol murmurs into the crook of Luhan’s neck, his breath hot and ticklish.

Luhan can only keen again, a pleasurable shudder running through his body. “P-please,” he whispers, arms pulling Chanyeol close again, because he needs him right now. “Don’t stop t-touching me,” Luhan begs, and the sound of his soft voice, mixed with the soft whimpers that are leaving his lips drive Chanyeol insane.

In no time, the two of them have stripped bare, despite the confines of their tent, and Chanyeol is gently working two long, spit-coated fingers in and out of Luhan, who has his legs spread as wide as possible.

“Y-you know,” Luhan stammers between heavy pants and noises of ecstasy, his arms fisting the sleeping bag he’s on top of, “You w-won’t break m-me, i-if you go a little h-harder of faster, s-so…if y-you could…”

And before Luhan can even finish telling Chanyeol to stop being so gentle, Chanyeol is shoving his slender fingers all the way in, pushing right against Luhan’s sweet spot that has the latter seeing stars.

“O-oh, oh god, Ch-chanyeol, p-please,” Luhan moans, but his voice is too shaky and he’s being too loud because Chanyeol’s touches have made him forget where he was.

“Shh, Luhan,” Chanyeol shushes, his breath tickling Luhan’s ear as he whispers, “You can’t be too loud or else someone will hear you,” Chanyeol teases but surprisingly, the fact that they’re in a tent right next to their friends is even more of a turn on.

Luhan bites his lip in an attempt to muffle his moans, but it barely works.

“S-stop teasing with y-your fingers,” Luhan eventually pants, his hips wriggling and bucking because he wants to feel full and he wants Chanyeol.

Chanyeol smirks because he has Luhan completely pliable and needy in his arms, and he pulls his fingers out. “Okay, okay,” Chanyeol chuckles, but he doesn’t intend on giving Luhan what he wants unless he asks properly. “But, you have to use your words or else I won’t know what you want, Luhan.”

Luhan chews his lip because it’s embarrassing, but he eventually manages to spit it out. “I-I want you…i-in me, p-please, Chanyeol, I n-need you to f-fuck me plea-oh!” Luhan squeals, because before he’s even done speaking, Chanyeol’s cock is pushing into his tight hole, and it’s complete bliss, because his prostate is being hit, and even when Chanyeol is rough, he’s still careful and caring enough not to hurt Luhan.

Luhan is more embarrassed than he could have ever imagined himself to be, and he actually wants to cover his face, but Chanyeol won’t let him. Chanyeol takes Luhan’s hands and pins them down on either side of his body.

“Don’t hide. All I want is to see your face,” Chanyeol murmurs fondly, and it’s so sincere and sweet that Luhan’s heart is beating hard against his chest and his cheeks are flaming from the care.

And Chanyeol fucks Luhan nice and slow, and then fast and hard, but it’s all incredibly sweet because his hands caress every part of Luhan’s body like it’s the most valuable thing in the world, and the entire time, Luhan is putty in Chanyeol’s hand and he can’t help but moan or squeal or pull Chanyeol even closer than he already is.

And then the both of them are nearing their climaxes, and Luhan is completely delirious with pleasure.

“Ch-chanyeol, I’m g-going to--!” And Luhan cums onto both their abdomens, his hole squeezing tight around Chanyeol’s cock, and he shuts his eyes tight because the pleasure is the most intense he’s ever felt before. His back arches beautifully off the floor and his legs wrap tightly around Chanyeol’s hips.

And then Chanyeol is cumming with a soft grunt, releasing into Luhan, who’s all too willing to take it in him.

Afterwards, they’re both panting incredibly hard, because the pleasure that just washed over their bodies was the most intense they’ve ever felt in their lives. Their limbs are tangled and their bare bodies are pressed flush against one another.

Somehow, Chanyeol ends up on his back with Luhan resting comfortably on his chest, playing with his long fingers.

“You know,” Luhan says before yawning softly, “I thought you were going to reject me, after I confessed. You were staring at me for so long and you were so motionless that all I could think about was you thinking I was disgusting or hating me the rest of our lives or-“

“Shh,” Chanyeol shushes gently, and his long arms cradle around Luhan’s petite frame easily, holding his body close. “What made you think I wouldn’t love you back?” Chanyeol can’t help but chuckle softly, “I don’t think I could have been more obvious with my emotions. I was never good at hiding them anyways. Now, sleep,” Chanyeol urges, and Luhan nods sleepily, his eyelashes fluttering softly as he closes his eyes.

“Love you…” Luhan trails off, one hand intertwined with Chanyeol’s, and Chanyeol smiles, the his long fingers on his free hand tracing Luhan’s perfect features just as he had done earlier in the car.

“More than anything, Luhan.”

Chanyeol smiles, pressing a soft kiss to Luhan’s plush lips.

“I love you more than anything.”
