You know what one small feature I'd love to have in LJ? A filter/block for LJ posts that are just user's Twitter updates compiled. It was a fine thing when it first launched, but now, if I want to see someone's Tweets, I can go to Twitter, and most of those feeds are from folks who have otherwise abandoned their LJs. You can do that.
Go to the home page then select friends.
Select Add or Remove.

You will get a list of your friends. On the far right you will see (Select Tags)

Find the person who constantly displays twitter messages. and press Select Tags.

In the middle of the page is the heading TAGS

Check Exclude Tag.

You will see a list of all the tags that person uses.

The auto-crosspost of Twitter uses the tag "twitter."

Select twitter for exclusion.
You will probably need to find the accept command at the bottom of the page to ensure your change has been written.

When you return to the modify page you will see on the right the word twitter with a line through it.

Twitter messages will never be displayed again but the person's regular journal posts will be.

You must do this for each friend.

It will not work for Friend of Friends.
