FIRST, Jackie and I planned to get up at 6:20, and take the 7:30 train to New York to get the best sunlight for photography, avoid the rain that was to come, and to get back at a decent hour. Sounds like you guys had a terrible time :( Your tale of woe is a good example of why I hate New York. Nothing like that would ever happen in good 'ol Washington DC :-D (well, it does rain in Washington, but you know what I mean ;))

okay, you make a fine point, yet I do have to bring up the fact that Washington DC is the current home of George W. Bush, and that in itself regardless of an easier metro or an overall experience disqualifies Washington haha...sorry, too tempting
