Doctors' offices

Aug 30, 2007 17:02

I'm sitting @ the doctor's office, waiting for my mother. Why do all doctors' offices smell the same? Look the same? Feel the same? They all even have the same boring magazine choices. Wildlife magazines? Mags about antiques? WTF?! If I didn't have my trusty mobile & ipod, I'd be lost to boredom & hunger.

waiting, ennui, utter randomness, ipod

That's what mobiles and ipods are for... lol ^^ Oh, and about the "same smell" thingy, maybe it's because of the medicine?! ^^

Btw, hello! I'm not a stalker OK?! So don't be alarmed... ^^ Actually, I'm here to tell you that I've added you to my friend list, if that's OK. Hope you can add me as well... :)

I came across your username in dracotrilogy community. May I ask... is DT a D/G story?! I'm really intrigued, but the story has been deleted, so I can't find it anywhere. :(

Yes, mobiles and ipods are the greatest inventions of the late 20th, early 21st centuries. Well, for the alieviation of boredom anyway. And I can understand about the same medicinal smell; it's just a bit nauseating. But I just can't fathom why they think the average person wants to read about antiques for three hours. I mean, really, common sense should tell them to stock the major magazines like Time, Newsweek, People, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, etc. Hell, I'd even sit and read Oprah's magazine before I'd attempt to read about antiques. But, I've found that common sense is in limited supply these days.

Sure, I'll friend you! I pretty much friend anyone who friends me, so I'll be adding you fo' sho'. ;)

As for the DT, it's the D/G, H/Hr fic, written by BNF Cassandra Clare. When she became a published author, she had to remove all of her fanfic from the Internet. I'm not a H/Hr shipper by any means, but she was able to write the pairing so believably that it didn't bother me at all. Same thing with D/G. I'm a little ( ... )

You'll send me the first two?! YAY! Thanks so much... I'm also not an H/Hr. But its OK, as long as the story IS D/G. *giggles* About the 3rd part, is it impossible or still possible to be sent?! ^^

The majority of the D/G plot is in the second and third stories. The first story is very much H/Hr and D/Hr. But it's very well written, so I don't think it'll be a problem. I'll send you the first two stories. I tried to compress the third into a zip file, but it was still just as large as it was before. So I'm still working on it. It's really making me mad because I've sent the Trilogy out to people before with no problems. Now all of a sudden, my computer wants to act up.

Love your Iago icon, by the way!

You people are lucky to have there at least SOMETHING to read, information boards aside.

True, but having nothing but bunch of magazines about stuff you're not interested in is like having nothing to read at all. At least for me, anyway. I usually take something of my own to read, but I didn't think I'd be sitting there waiting for three hours. My mother hurt her foot, so she was there to make sure it wasn't fractured or anything. The damn x-ray technician left, and we had to wait for her to come back.

But it's over now. I've got another week before I have to go back to the doctor, but this time it'll be my visit. And this is completely boring to hear about, isn't it? ;)
