Book I Should Read: I can’t really suggest one, but I will recomend reading the The Princess Bride out loud to someone.
Movie I Should See: Defiance with Daniel Craig. I saw it last night.
Band/CD I Should Listen To: The Kooks. Maybe you’ll like them maybe you won’t, but I do.

Defiance is the WWII pic, right? I remember seeing a trailer for it and thinking that it looked pretty good.

I gave up on Smallville, but I guess I'll give it another try now that Lana is gone. She's one of the reasons I quit watching it.

I appreciate you pimping my one-shot! I'm actually working on a Ginny/Blaise plot bunny that developed after a conversation with a friend. I need to work on the next chapter of my novel-length, too. I haven't updated it since August!

Oooh, Lucius/Ginny, huh? Sounds interesting...

Many people I know gave up Smallville because of Lana. She is back for a while, but she won’t be there long.

And Doomsday is on it.

I am SO glad I read that Lucius/Ginny fic! It's the best I've read in a loooong time. So good.

So I've got a semester off. There was just too much going on last semester. My performance suffered greatly. I have NEVER performed so poorly in my life. I was depressed about it when I found out right before Christmas, but I feel better now. I'm choosing to look at this as a much needed break. I'll be able to do some things that I haven't been able to do since I started grad school. This is a setback, but I'm not going to let it depress me.

Hey don’t be using the word Dumbass when you know it is not true. And you’re taking to someone who can’t spell ‘variety’ and many other words. I’m glad you are feeling better, because a thing like this is such a blow. I’m thinking about a class I had to take over and over to get into a college at the University. This break will help you more than you think.

Thanks. I know I'm not a dumbass, but when I think about the C I got in the class I got nothing but A's in just because of a missed deadline, I certainly feel like one. Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to this break now. If I can get one of my original short stories finished in time I may take the advanced short story writing course I've been wanting to take for a while.

Book I Should Read: As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann. It's a historical novel about the love between two men and it is super awesome.
Movie I Should See: Ummm. Have you seen Little Miss Sunshine? If not, that.

Nope. Still haven't seen it yet, though I've been meaning to. It's on my Netflix queue, so I'll see it eventually.

Duran Duran. Seriously

Classic or current? I love the classic stuff, but I haven't heard anything from the last album they released.

Battlestar Galactica. Or Six Feet Under.

I've tried BSG. Wasn't my cup of tea. I am interested in seeing Six Feet Under, though. I'm enjoying Alan Ball's True Blood, so I think I'll enjoy SFU, too.

Oh boy, good luck with that much needed break. I am glad I am out of school, else I would not know how to handle kids, house, husband and school...and all the art stuff... gosh...

Can you return to your degree program? What are you mayoring on???

Yeah, I only have to sit out one full semester. If I can get one of my instructors to vouch for me, I can resume in the summer. I'm working on a Master's degree in Elementary Education.
