I'm finding it harder and harder to find time to construct actual entries for this thing, which is particularly sad since I have one or two unfinished entries that I regret will not be posted until finals week is over ( Read more... )

Hooray, Marlboro. I am at Bennington College (which is about 50 minutes west) visiting my fiance right now. We should plan a trip to Marlboro; I haven't seen my friend Ian in awhile, and I'm sure you'd like to explore campus more. I suppose that would necessitate meeting each other first.

Anyway, congratulations.

Thanks! Is Ian going to be at Marlboro next year? (I might see you; then we can have that discussion over coffee. XD)

No, Ian is graduating this year. I can't say that he won't stop by every so often, because I think he plans on moving out to VT after. But, knowing him, he'll end up in Korea or possibly Siberia. The whole world seems to beckon to him.

I'm sure you've mentioned this, but what will you study there?

Literature, with an emphasis on Comparative Lit. I went through a short (in the grand scheme of things, that is) period where I was sure I was going to go to college for mortuary science, but a renewed self of self-confidence and passion for life (thanks mostly to my sweetheart Cordelia) prompted me to go back to literature. XD I know a darn lot about the mortician business, but writing and studying literature is my true calling.

I just love the classes at Marlboro; looking through the courses they offer, the curriculum seems to mirror exactly what I always wanted to learn in college.
