Found it!!
I don't think this is a Squash Blossom, but perhaps our resident Muse knows what it might be. :)
There is a small piece of turquoise stone missing from the right side.

It doesn't look like any of the Squash Flowers I've seen out in New Mexico. In fact it doesn't look like a Navajo, Zuni or Pueblo traditional necklace at all, save that the diamond shapes over the segmented circle is a prominant design theme among Hopi Kachina dolls. Do you know where it came from? My guess is that it's Hopi or Hopi influenced and if so, it's an artist's particular style influenced by the South West traditional tribal designs.

Just my opinion.

It was a gift from my great grandmother on one of her trips. Well, I can narrow it to three states. It was purchased in Montana, Wyoming, or South Dakota.

I've always wanted to visit Ireland, it's where one of my great-grandmothers was born. She came from County Mayo.
