My daughter and I are very proud that we are related to her. (And, of course, her husband... but mostly her.)
You are right that the wording of things and how our forefathers looked at rights... things were not as they seemed. But I still believe in those words, without any hidden stuff. They are excellent words.
I also hope that people have gotten too smart to EVER have another civil war! (But who knows...)
