Thousands of teenagers flocked to Los Angeles each year with stars in their eyes, unprepared for the ugly truth behind Hollywood’s lies. Many ended up on the streets, living dangerous lives, dying violent deaths - drive-bys, assault, overdose… suicide. The details varied, but the results never changed.
Wearily Leon hunched his shoulders, stuffed his hands in his pockets where they balled into fists.
“Sometimes,” he muttered, “it just doesn’t pay to dream.”
