No, it worked--I don't usually read boy!slash because I find that it's often too harsh or too schmoopy, but I think you struck a good balance here. Plus, I got to picture Alex O'Loughlin and Jason Dohring naked, so there's that too. :)

Great job, Merc! I think I kept getting confused by what was actually happening (if Josef is top, I'm having difficulty figuring out how they can kiss.)

I'm also a bigger fan of showing something in a story than telling something that happened before.

I think I kept getting confused by what was actually happening (if Josef is top, I'm having difficulty figuring out how they can kiss.)

Josef is on top and they're facing each other.

I'm also a bigger fan of showing something in a story than telling something that happened before.

Well, the intent in this fic wasn't to show how they got together the first time. It was only briefly mentioned to let readers know that this wasn't their first time. That would be another fic ;)
