this self-awareness you've got, in this post and the one that follows it, makes me miss you in a weird way. it makes me miss everyone, i guess, because we go on changing and getting older and waking up and dying and leaving each other behind, and in the meantime, that empathy you mention either stings more or fades. and i'm not sure which is worse.
