This past week I went on two interviews, and have a third scheduled for next week. It appears things are starting to turn around.

In the second interview of the week, it was for an academic program within a hospital behavioral program. To be honest, it doesn't seem like a good fit for me, not the position per se, but the demands they have on the ( Read more... )

No, seriously shut it off for a week.
Find out how else you can spend your time.

I know that by shutting off a tv/computer you give yourself an opportunity to reconnect to the things and people around you. You might be surprised by what takes up your time when you are not connected.

Perhaps you can find answers to your question by just shutting down the connection and connecting through human channels.

Intellectually I know you're right. But right now trying to network and obtain a job, it doesn't seem like the best time.

I am also extremely fearful of being 'alone with my thoughts.'

It's definitely something to do in the long run, even for just a day. I think for me I'm really freaked out, to spend time in my head and acknowledge right now in many facets why I'm not happy in my life. Then again taking/making the time for that stuff might make me actually deal with it, and instead of feeding my face make me get up and deal with my stuff and make positive, constructive changes.

I have no idea what my special skills are either. I just do what I do, you know? I don't know if my skills are "special". I have to fill out a licensure form and it asks for my "areas of competence". Competence? I don't know what I'm competent in really? I know what I do at work and what I like to do, but is that competent? Sometimes I feel really competent in what I do and some says I don't feel competent in anything at all.

I also know your an awesome baker, and do kewl projects with canning.

You're professionally spontaneous, while it's your job requirement not everyone falls into that pattern naturally.

You like animals.

I thought you did the knitting/crocheting thing but that might be someone else on my flist.
