It was great because my grandmother stopped mid thought, and started to get upset.
I said SHE WAS, ie since I knew her 14 years.
So my grandmother shrugged and went back to arguing/explaining to the case worker, why she didn't feel the need to take her meds. ie I feel fine, why the hell do I have anxiety meds, (it's nice to know the whole family is on xanax) and don't I have ariset(pre-alzheimers med)
I'm so greatful that my grandparents have reached the age they have independently.
Simultaneously, I also better understand just how twisted my mother's youth must have been.
IT's also strange talking about my grandparents so bluntly, but we have a raport as a family, where to someone else the way we speak might be construed as disrespectful, we're rather prone as a lot to colorful language.

honestly, I'll take this over us having 'real conversations'
I also prefer this over their anger and vitrol that was directed my way when my mom passed away and my being religious made me 'difficult'.
I do have to be greatful that she is 86 and he's going to be 91 in december.
